Hi All,
Is there anyone who knows about Wardens at Death Row, how they can cope with it or those who have a change of hearts?
If you know any website to suggest, that would be appreciated.

They are simply people without conscience, intellect or compassion; otherwise, why would they take such a job? These people have existed throughout history. We shouldn't delude ourselves into thinking our society is more advanced now.

Hi Chartotte
I see by your numbers of post that you are new to, so Welcom to PTO. I do not know of a websites off hand but I'm sure if you search you can find one. You may even find a forum on this site that can help, not sure because I'm still learning myself. That is a tough, I wonder for those who do have a change of heart, maybe they just went to school and landed that job and can't handle it. How do they cope? Thats a good question. Keep searching, you will find your answer.

@zapatista
You can't throw everyone in the same sack. You can find good and bad on both sides of the river. Some have the idea to be able to make a difference and they are nice, but as in every job after a while you have to shut off to protect yourself. Just like a doctor or a nurse who can't morn for everyone dieing under their hands.

I don't think you will find a satifying answer to this because every individual is different. Everyone copes different, everyone has their own reasons.
The warden of Parchman in Mississipp left the prison service and became a lecturer against the Death Penalty. Then many years later he has returned as the Warden again!
