I am married to a black man and have been for 16 years and we grew up as neighbors. We now have two boys. I really never have heard so much talk about interacial relationships until I read this forum. I never ever questioned my parents or his parents in regards to are relationship through out the years. It is what it is, two people in love making it through life. Just like any other couple with obstacles that we may have made for ourselves along the way but none of it has ever came back to it being about our race. It has never came up as question among our familys, we are all one big family. I feel bad hearing some of the stories with so much put on the color of our skin. I gusess what I am trying to say is it happens out there in the world and I have been very blessed that either my eyes and ears have been closed to it all or I just dont care to think of it.

It's unfortunate that there are still ignorant people out there that judge. I agree with you that it's no big deal this interracial relationship. But then again, my mom is Asian and my dad is white so for me race is not an issue. My ex husband is Mexican so our sons are white-asian-mexican. No one ever said anything to us about this issue. My new man is also Mexican. I don't even notice if people give us dirty looks coz I don't care. Love is love.
