HEY LADIES.....just want to let you know that ALL yards of CCC Susanville are on LOCKDOWN right now!!! i just called becuz my man was supposed to call on sunday but never did....i have been waiting to hear from him ever since but NOTHING!!! so i called right now and the man that answered said that ALL YARDS are on LOCKDOWN and there is no estimated time of WHEN they will be getting off. i asked if there was any specific reason WHY they are locked down and he said that one of the yards "went off". big riot i am guessing!!! he said he didn't know the details of what yard it was though. i was planning on going to visit this weekend, but now WHO KNOWS!!!:angry:

Again, when will this end.
I got to talk to my son on Sunday but it was cut short. Maybe that is why.

YAY!!!! i just talked to a guard at ccc too and they did say that L YARD is off lockdown which is great news for me cuz my man is on L YARD!!!! that means i can visit this weekend! the guard did say that the reason for the lockdown was a riot, wouldn't tell me which yard, and because of staff training. he said that when there is staff training every yard will go on lockdown, one yard a day! well, i will pray right along with you all.........and i hope that the other yards get off soon also....i will keep in touch with the prison and keep you all informed!!! hey jerrysmom, what yard is your son on????

He's on Sierra.
I called yesterday and just listened to the recording it did not say any yard was on lockdown.
The last time the recording told me that Sierra was on lockdown.
So maybe they are all off now.

everytime i called the recording while they were ON lockdown this time, it was saying that they weren't so maybe they didn't update the recording. i will call over there in a few minutes to see if anything has changed!!! HEAR SAY from another inmate on my man's yard is that there was a stabbing!!!:mad: i will let you know what they say when i talk to them....for now i have a dirty diaper to change....**ICK:yuck: **

HI EVERYONE!!! ok, so...i just called up to the prison, it's friday night, and i asked if any yards were on lockdown and he said that all yards were on lockdown today and that they are not allowed phone calls or yard time BUT they will have regular visits over the weekend, which is good news for me, but i will be praying for all of you who can't make it to visit and solely rely on letters and calls!!! *hugs*:grouphug:*hugs*

i went to visit today, 12/18, and i "heard" something about a lockdown, but what i heard is that it's only becuz they are understaffed becuz of weather problems and holiday vacations. i should be getting a phone call tonight so i will ask........:o

i went to visit on sunday and i had no problems either. what i was saying is that I HEARD from somebody that they have been going in and out of lockdown status for a while now cuz of shortness of staff due to weather problems and holiday vacations. visiting has been normal though, i have gone every weekend to see my man and have had NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!:p i can only hope that the weather cooperates this weekend so that i can make it up on christmas. HECK, i braved the NASTY WEATHER yesterday to go and see him, so i'm sure i will go again this weekend, no matter what the weather looks like!:D

OK...Got the scoop this morning. What going on is a rolling lockdown due to being shortstaffed. What that means is that all yards are being locked down a few days at a time on a rotating basis, no yard, meals are "En Suite", no phone, but mail and visiting are not affected.

Actually the thanks belong to Boots, who visited at CCC and actually had the presence of mind to ask the friend she was visiting....When I go visiting at HDSP, every "practical" question I wanted to ask flies out of my head as soon as my Whateverheis is in view, so I'm useless unless info shows up in a letter!

YAY...he finally called!!! aw, i'm so happy for you! that sucks about what went on....i'm terribly sorry that it was so long of a wait!!! and that sucks about the package! poor guy! well, at least you heard from your son and thank God he is alright!

He should be finding out early next month where or what they are going to do with him.
I sure hope they send him to fire camp.
The weather here at home has been so nice and warm, how is the weather there? does anyone know? Longlostlove are you close to there? I am hoping we have a nice warm winter so we can travel and visit.

awww...i'm so happy that you all got to talk to your loved ones!!! i got to see mine on christmas and it was GREAT. i will be going again this weekend and i'm hoping that the weather cooperates for sundays drive. yes jerrysmom, i do live fairly close to susanville. i'm in reno and it's only an hour drive. i went last weekend (the weekend before christmas) and it was snowing soooo bad so the drive took longer but it still wasn't that bad. the only reason why i'm worried about bad weather this weekend is cuz i will be taking my son. i hope that they send your son to firecamp as well cuz i heard that it's alot more easy going. don't quote me on that but that's just what i've heard. where do you live? well, i hope you all had a great holiday.:o

But it never snows, well it's snowed twice since Ive lived here, thats been about 20 years. One time was really good, but never sticks more than the morning sun will allow it to. Its been in the upper 70's here.It was a little cooler today but not much. Jerry said it was about 45 there over the holiday weekend. I heard that there is a storm coming this week that should last over the weekend though.
You be carfull on the road with or without your child.

i'll be more than happy to let you know what the weather is like...i also have a friend that lives in herlong which is between here and susanville so she keeps me informed on the road conditions all the time. i haven't heard anything about that storm but i do know that the weather conditions are different depending on where you are coming from. it could be nice for the drive from reno to susanville and crappy for the drive from northern cali to susanville. i will keep my eye on it though. i was supposed to get a call from my man last night and i never got one. so i was hoping that he would call me tonight and i haven't gotten one as of yet. :( STUPID SYSTEM!!!!! by the way carol, do you know what yard your son is on?

I finally got a call from my guy, after 2-3 LOOOONG weeks and he mentioned that he has not received any of my letters. Does anybody have any info. on this????

Gosh Whitesocks, sounds like your man is on Cascade since it took so long for a call. As for the mail, my son has been getting my letters and I called this morning and the co who answered said they have 10 days to deliver packages to inmates once they arrive at the prison. I hope he finally got it. The co also said that they are still having rolling lockdowns due to staffing issues and that the southerners are still on lockdown on cascade yard.

What is going on at CCC. Does anyone have information on this. Are they short staff because of the holidays or what? My man mention something about inmates being in the hole but I do not know why. I am sure someone must have some kind of information. We have the right to know

My son is on sierra, he called me on wed night, he said they have been on lockdown alot on the weekends because of understaffing. He mentioned that he got to call that night cause not to many guys want to stand out in the cold night to talk on the phone, but they go into a both when they are on the phone I guess.

with the fog and the flooding and 20 miles this was is hot 20 miles that way is snow storms it could come in handy for those that are having to travel out of there area.(which is most of us)
