Sorry guys that I havn't been around. I don't want you all to think that I have abandoned you. My computer got hacked and I've been down for a while. However, as you can see I am back in full swing with more shields on my computer.

Don't want you all to think I don't care about you guys or what is going on. It drove me NUTS not to be able to read everything that has been going on with everyone.

LOL..JD I know what you mean by withdrawls!! It to my friend 3 hours today to get my computer back and going and the whole time I sat here just watching and waiting trying to mentally get him to move faster. I don't even think he was in his car yet when I logged on and started catching up. What a life huh?

:haha:

Wow I see it happens more often than I think. We all have to make sure we know what we are downloading and where our emails are coming from. Keep the anti-virus programs up to date!

Viruse's are running everywhere these days. Those that are so hipp'd on getting email are opening everything and BAM you got it. It you catch one, most likely it has send it's self out to everyone in your address book and now they have it from YOU. Some are timed delay'd and activate by you computer clock, figuring you would have deleted the email and couldn't trace it back to the mail. Other, you have to shut down are restart before it operate.

Anti-viruse's can only do so much and there are new viruse's all the time. So, DON'T open anything with an .exe unless you know ahead of time it's coming. Remember, you friends could be sending you a viruse without them knowing if they have a dirty computer!!!!

Don't think that thought didn't cross my mind. When the guy that was fixing my computer asked me if I had any enemies that might want to crash my computer, my first thought was TDCJ or INS. I had just finished fighting with INS over my husband and with TDCJ for harassing my brother-in-law.

Could just be paranoid too...

I just cleaned up the Klez virus from my home computer, and almost every day, I get at least one or two more emails with it attached. It's a nastier little critter than I thought. Like a bad dollar, just keeps coming back around.

I'm the world's worst - after standing in front of a computer class and preaching a sermon about virus protection - to not keep mine updated. You can bet I'm up-to-date now!

You're right, BRay, others can infect you without knowing it. I found out I had the virus when I started getting emails from the ISP's of people in my address book informing me that I was sending tainted mail. Makes me wonder why my ISP didn't have their protection running...Lord knows I pay enough for the service!! (They ought to come scrub my bathroom and wash my car in addition to providing Internet service for the price I pay!)

I don't know what you pay for an ISP, but cable internet cost me $45+ per month. But, some pay more then that for TV.

I pay $45 or $50/month for cable Internet, and being the bargain-hunter than I am, I'd like to get more for my money - like the services I described above! The car REALLY needs washing!
