My guy is home now, and seeing we have a ZILLION saved letters and a million cards, we cannot possible save them all. I was thinking of taking all the fronts of the cards off, copying the quote on the inside on a post it, and giving them to someone else to use. I have about 30 of these I'd be willing to send someone.

I :p love:p recycling!

PM me if ya want em!

Hey Everyone,
I thought I would tell you about our friend from the militaey, She made little boxes out of christmas cards, or anycard . If it was for a wedding she used the white or either there color scheme.
She made me about 30 for christmas 1998, and put little small ribbon made boxs, little pine cones, or a christmas santa, small bells, I use them every year under my 2 ft tree my Mom made me in ceramic, 1979!! She showed me how, but LO!! I just no she cut them in small pieces, tucked and folded, then did the top.
You all are so cleaver out there I am sure you can find the pattern somewhere. She made them at christmas and put little candy kisses or just money for her family,
Then little keep sake for weddings, Oh she is gone now, but those boxes are all over the world she made. I treasure mine. She always put her Intials on bac and dated them. E. M .1998. She died in 2004 at 83 and was still making those little boxes.

I've reused many cards as postcards - just take the front off and write on the back of it, put a 24 cent stamp and it's good to go! Two cards for the price of one!!

I found some instructions for those boxes, boflipflops - you can find them here (http://www.allfreecrafts.com/recycling-crafts/greeting-card-box.shtml). They are pretty cool - I might just try that with the Christmas cards I received this past Christmas!!

I used to have a hobby reusing these, and would cut them up into strips and put plastic over them to use as bookmarks. This was a lot of work and bending so I stopped. It's a lot easier to cut them into squares, make a hole and use it for gift tags.

Having a heavy duty paper chopper is essential. I have a big honking thing with a long blade that cuts clean across.
