Now, i gotta tell ya, i ain't artsy-craftsy. but, my daughter is. she did the following last year for gifts. she said, "mom, i simply can't afford to spend the money. but, This lets me give to others in a way that i Can afford."
so, i checked it out. wow! talk about impressive! and appreciated, too!!

family and friends still talk about the wonderful jar gifts they'd gotten....and the super cheap to make gag gifts....the gag gifts are now a fav with all of our family.

After all, it's all about gathering together as friends and family. That Is What It's All About. not the cost of something, nor which store it came from.

so, here it is..... a way to do something really neat, and have your children help too. they'll love that! go ahead, be keepin yer pennies in your pocket, not the retailers.

Gifts in a Jar (http://organizedchristmas.com/article75.html)

cost per jar is approx $3.00 wow!

that site has numerous other inexpensive ways to create gifts. enjoy.

I love these things! And they are PRETTY and YUMMY!!!!

I've made them before for different things and they are always a big hit!!

GREAT suggestion!!!! AND they are easy for those of us who aren't the Martha Stewart/Susie Homemaker types!! ;)

I made dish washing soap holders last year .. All you do is get an old wine bottle and soak it so all the paper on the outside comes off and then goto a craft store get rub on decals and marbles and the top. Then you rub on the decals put the marbles ( like six ) in the bottom and add soap and put the lid on ... They look great and only cost 4.50 to make...
