As some may recall, I have kind of a weird attachment to Pop Tarts, tho I suspect I'm not the only person approaching middle age that does... I figure Kellogg's is probably selling more than ever, not only to people that have kids but those who grew up on them and are still eating them in their thirties and forties. ;)

So I had had a craving for strawberry Pop Tarts lately and headed down the Pop Tart aisle the other night. Now, for the past year and a half or so, they keep coming out with new flavors - French Toast being one of my favorites of the new ones - lots of chocolate flavors for you chocolate lovers (I'm not one) too...

... when what do I spot but the newest flavor - Strawberry Milkshake! So I pick up a box to investigate closer, and my jaw dropped.

'cos it says on the box how GREAT THESE ARE FROZEN. Now, I'm thinking, whoever heard of a frozen Pop Tart! I generally prefer mine the usual way, warm from the toaster, a little crispy even.

So yeah - of course I had to check it out and freeze some.

You know what? THEY ARE AWESOME FROZEN!!! :D

Might not be news to everyone, but it was to me.... check 'em out! I'm also going to eat some, probably for breakfast tomorrow, the toaster way and will report on that then... hehe :D

They aren't bad, my dog likes them better than I do. Maybe I need to freeze some and try it.

I bet they are yummy. No I would have never thought about freezing pop tarts but hey willing to try it.

strawberry pop tarts just dont sound right to me....

i also tried cookie dough i think, didnt like them either..... the smores ones are ok, kiddo really likes the cinamon roll ones... better then actual cinnamon rolls....:D :p

think we have pretty much tried all new flavors.... but those are just the ones that stand out....:D

I all so love pop tarts!! My kids think I'm nuts they only like some of them,, I will have to try strawberry milkshake kind!!

Anyone remember when they had Pop-Tart cereal? About 11 years ago when I was in 4th grade a friend of mine ate a bunch of that the morning we had to begin taking our state assessment tests thinking it'd give him a lot of energy for the day, but instead all the sugar made him really sick to his stomach. Maybe they still have the cereal around in some places..? My mom never let me get it and she usually would never let me get Poptarts either, although I must say she did get them once in a while, and I think cinnamon and brown sugar was my favorite. That and the chocolate ones :)

The had hot fudge sundae ones that were good in the freezer too... lol.. not sure if they still have those or not..

My favorites were the chocolate kind with the white creamy filling, but I can't find those here in Washington state... :(

I have a box of the strawberry milkshake kind, sitting in the cupboard as I type. I m about to go throw them in the freezer, and see if the kids will eat them frozen. Im always up for something different.:p
