I know this question has probably been asked thousands of times, but how would I go about locating a relative who is in a military prison? I don't know which one he is in, but I'm thinking there may be some place that I could call or write to find out this information. All help is appreicated!

Shaelld,
Unfortunately, there is no inmate locater service for military facilities. If you know the branch of service, where he/she was stationed at the time of conviction, and the sentence, it will help narrow down the options. You might try contacting the chaplain's office at the base where they were last stationed to see if they can help you. If the sentence is longer than 5 years or so they are most likely at the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. If your relative is a female, most likely at the RCF at San Diego. Browse some of the other threads in the Military Justice Forum and you can find information on various of the facilities. Good Luck!
