More than 16 years after a Pennsylvania jury returned three death sentences against Harold Wilson, new DNA evidence has helped lead to his acquittal. Yesterday, Wilson became the nation’s 122nd person freed from death row according to the Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC). During his 1989 capital trial, Wilson was prosecuted by former Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney Jack McMahon, a man best known for his role in a training video that advised new Philadelphia prosecutors on how to use race in selecting death penalty juries.

That is such great news! My heart aches for those who continue to sit on death row, innocence or guilt is not an issue with me, we have to stop killing. What really makes me angry is we are accomplices because it is our government that is doing it.

Atalie, I totally agree with you. I can't wait for a day that all of this maddness is over. It appears that alot of people are on death row that should not be. I just thank God he is no longer on death row and the truth is heard.

That is wonderful news! it goes to show that the system is faulty and needs a remedy! My sincere prayer is that God will make a way for our other brothers and sisters on the row .........we must continue to refuse this unjust system and remember that many issues have been changed as a result of a few steadfast people refusing to give up!

This is good news. If they won't abolish the DP, then they need to do more of this testing so that people can be exonerated.

Praise God!!! I know too well how discouraging the PA Judicial System can be. This example definately gives me more hope in finding a positive and definate resolution for my family's situation. :yay:
