Hi all...I'm new to this. My boyfriend has been in reception at Donovan for about 4 weeks now. I'm very fustrated with the way things are going. I receive about 5 letters a week from him, but my letters are not getting through to him. I write to him every day and on his last letter he asked me if I had forgotten about him because he hadn't heard from me in more than 11 days. I dont understand because He has received a couple letters already, So shouldnt he be receiving them regularly since I've been sending them daily? Also, who knows how long the visiting questionnaires are taking to process at Rj Donovan? I would like to at least visit by thanksgiving. I sent mines about 3 weeks ago. Does any one have any answers?:confused:

Hi! Welcome to the world of Donovan mail service. My son has been in reception there since around the first of Oct . He just recently (about the 11th) got a few letters I sent dated Oct 22. I sent my visiting questionaires in around the same time but my son told me in his letter dated about the 11th, that they were rejected because they were not originals .....

Not originals??? That's awful and i'm sorry to hear that...my boyfriend hasnt told me anything like that. I tried calling the visiting department to see if im approved but I cant get ahold of anyone. Has anyone had better luck??? Also, I called the mail room yesterday and they told me the mail was behind because of the holidays. They said they were mainly focusing on legal letters.

Well, my son called. He's been moved up to Desert View. Haven't apoke to him for over a month. Hope you get to visit real soon....

okay it takes about a month to 2 months which is the longest. And mail is really backed up . at RJ Donovan so give it sometime,he will get his mail.It took me a month to get approved

Thanks to all who replied... I finally go to visit with him this weekend. :D I was so happy to finally see him again. He finally saw his councelor the 21st of this month and they will be sending him to a level 2 facility. Anyone know how long after they see a counselor they get sent out??? Also, he's not sure where he will be going...he said his counselor said chuckawalla or ccf or something like that...what are the facilities that he could possibly be sent to???:confused: :confused: :confused:

My Husband Is At Donovan He Has Been There Since There Late Oct. Early Nov. I Havent Been Approved Yet. Who Do They Contact When We Get Approved? Do They Send Us A Letter Or Do They Tell My Husband? Im Just Going To Wing It This Weekend And Go Try To Visit Him.

As far as I know they will let your husband know if you are approved or not
