my husband is in a federal prison camp in terra haute and a good friend of his got a letter from his lawyer that said he talked to someone in DC that said federal good-time would go up to 65% in July please help me if you have heard this. my husband has been in prison for 5 yrs and i really want tis to be true

don't get my hopes up now, my husband is in federal too. Seems like they're the worst about letting out.

I hope this is true! But I haven't heard. The last thing I heard was that they were supposed to bring back the 65% law, but the bill died. If you hear, let me know.

I too wish this was true but haven't heard anything about it at all. Try posting this on the Federal thread here and maybe you'll get some answers.

This has been a rumor since before I went to federal prison and most likely isn't going to happen any time soon. The only person that was proposing legislation (bill) to change this passed away before it got very far and it has since been dropped, unless something new has come up.

I was just wondering, but lets say hypothetically this bill was passed and the 65% rule is imposed. Are those already in the system also exposed to the new rule? Or does it only apply to those convicted after the bill is passed. Thank you

I was fixing to say the same thing as fedx. I never heard of it either and been a rumor forever
