Hello, my name is Arvid VP and I study criminology at the university of Ghent, Belgium. For our course juvenile law, I need to do a paper on Canadian youth prisons. This is a really difficult task as there is not that many information available. Therefore I was looking for someone who could give me some more information about the juvenile prison system in Canada, more specificly on the policy and every day life in juvenile prisons.

Please, this is urgent, if you can help, mail me at email address removed by moderator/please review PTO Rules/Policies. Please contact this member via post or PM.

thank you

I dont have a child in prison or jail but if you want to read policy I suggest you go to this government site : http://www.csc-scc.gc.ca/text/home_e.shtml
Find the search button and search for the ' Juvenile Delinquents Act '
Good luck with your research

There is also an interesting publication called THE EVOLUTION OF JUVENILE JUSTICE IN CANADA
you can access it here: http://canada.justice.gc.ca/en/ps/inter/juv_jus_min/index.html

If all your research is on current issues and past, I can help you with the past somewhat since Im a former resident of juvi detention centres and other related facilities though that would be early 70's. It has changed drastically since then.
