:confused:My son has been in the camp lejeune brig for 2 years and was up for parole in october, They have not done anything! No psych. eval, no help with the parole packet, no word on when, NOTHING!
I know they can be slow but, all of the other marines that were involved in the same case have been paroled and I just don't understand what the hold up is. The boy is afraid to inquire because of the fear that it would only hold things up longer.
I know that they can play a lot of games at this brig and would like some advise on how to deal with them.

thank you for any help,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
you can hire a private attorney to deal with this. There are a number of x-JAG who are now criminal defense attorneys, including a really good one in Orlando. PM me if you want info.

also tell your son that asking questions shouldn't slow down the process.

Also, there is a military forum here, you might find some answers there.

I am happy to say that things are now starting to happen. I placed some calls to the base on monday and must have stumbled upon some good folks that day. My son called last night to inform us that he has had his psyc.
eval. and he is presenting his parole package on tuesday. I don't want to get my hopes up as I know the possibility of him getting parole is just that (a possibility) so, I will just pray for them to make the right decision. I thank you for caring enought to reply and for your advise.
