Hi. My son was sentenced yesterday. The judge did accept the plea bargain of 11 1/2 months to 23 months with three years parole. I was real worried about the judge not accepting the plea. I know this is a relatively minor sentence compared to what some of you are dealing with but it is still hard. I just want him home. He is only 18. But at the same time I know he did this, not me, and now he has to pay the consequences. Thanks for listening, again!

I am glad to hear that the judge at least accepted the offer you had agreed to....
I don't know that it really matters how long the sentence is... any amount of time being separated involuntarily from one another is painful.....
Just know we are here to support you all the way through this...

I have never heard of the youthful offender..what is it?
