My husband just called and said he has Poison Ivy from head to toe from doing Hoe Squad @ Brickeys. He said he has had it for over a week and still has not gotten to see a doctor! What the hell is wrong with these people? On top of that he got a disciplinary from his Hoe Ryder. He said the Hoe Ryder does that to everyone because there is not any jobs for Inmates at Brickeys so he trys to keep them on Hoe Squad as long as he can by writing them up. But they busted my husband and 4 others down to Class 3 because of this Idiot. I don't get it, do they have to take a class on how to be an a** before they are aloud to be a guard? I am not saying that all the guards are like that because I have family that are guards. Our loved ones have a hard enough time being in there without having to deal with someone who was probably made fun of all of his life and now has a big head because he gets to ride a horse!

So sorry you're having to go through this. That's crazy that he hasn't seen a doctor yet - I can't imagine. My fiance was on hoe squad for almost a year - so, yes, I know about all the joys of it  .

Anyway, hope things get better and he gets to see a doctor soon!

Sorry about the poison ivy - if he's not being treated with anything ask him to try this. Get a bar of soap- prison soap would be the best because I would think it's harsh and drying- lather it up with only a little water and using his hands put it on the poison. You want it slimey not suds and let it dry- don't rinse it off. You want the drying effect to dry up the poison ivy. Just think of that drying sensation you get on your face if you use cheap soap. That's what he's going for. It will speed up the drying effect. Good luck and let us know how he makes out.

Sorry about the Poison Ivy! That must be horrible!! Its bad enough in the free world, I cant imagine what it must be like in there without the proper medication to treat it!! If he isnt getting the meidcal attention you or he thinks he needs, you can call Constitutent Service (@ 870-267-6385) and tell them and they will look into it! Not saying it will do that much good but its worth a try!! My hubby was on Hoe Squad @ Brickeys also and it sux!! He did everything he could, took a lot of stuff from the guards and other inmates too to keep from losing his class! It took alot of work but he made it through!! I hope he gets his class back soon and can get off hoe squad!! Good Luck!
