I have a honey in there.Also I called this morning and the recorder said.No more visits .THey have been on lockdown for 8 days.I havent heard anything.they were suppose to get off of lockdownthis weekend .Well have you heard news latley:)

Hello... I have a friend there. Visited last weekend (Sat/Sun). Noticed that they are now using the gate outside to check ID of visitors before getting to Su Casa and also on the way out.

They were on lockdown then (5th and 6th of November).

I tried calling the main phone number there, but all I received was a recording. You have to know the party's e+tension number to speak to someone because they no longer have operator assistance. I was calling to speak to my husband's counselor, but I don't know his name. Do you know of any number I can call to speak to someone there regarding getting this or any information.?

My husband is at Donavan, visited yesterday yes they are checking id before you go in and when you leave at the gate

all you have to do is know what facility your husband is on so when you call press#1twice and then you will press 7 thats for cousler service and then it will say for facility 1 and it will go on untill you press which facility and it will send you to the cousler eighther yell answerr or you leave a message and he will call you back Icontact the cousler hes call me back plenty of times hope this will help

Just thought I'd join in. My son is there. Still in reception. He just saw his counselor. Nice to hear from you all. Messed up on the visiting forms. I guess they didn't apprciate copies of the original, that I completed and sent. I guess that means another 45 days plus....

you know my man messed up too before it took forever because he sign his name iin the wrong spot it really sucks ,and they are very picky.I sent a card with glitter and they sent it back to me .YOU cant have glitter,Idid not know.hope you see your son soon

Thanks. I guess they are picky. He has a friend up in Folsom. He said I probably could send 2 clear pens. My kid wrote and let me know that he could have gotten in trouble for that. Guess, I won't be doing that again. Thanks for the glitter tip. I almost sent a card with glitter but decided against it. I even sent him books than he told me not to. Oops! guess i'm was on a roll. Should have checked this site out a little earlier. Thanks again

follow those instructions I gave you,and once the recorder comes on listen for when it say for facility 3 then you will press what number for facility 3 .do you understand if you still dont let me know its really simple just follow the instructions

Most prisons in California do not allow glitter because you can put drugs on the cards because some cards look like you pout glue and then glitter. Stupid I know. Especially at Christmas time because they are the prettiest cards.

your right I was just in the store looking for a card all of them had glitter on them the other ones were not so pretty

You Would Send To Visiting Form To Him, But He Has To Send You One First And Approving It By Signing It First. Then You Send It Back To Him, Do You Know What Yard He Is In?? Depending On What Yard It Is On What P.o. Box Number It Is. Also For Money Orders It Is A Different P.o. Box, You Dont Send It To Him.
Now The Packages, He Has To Send You The Form First Which He Mark Down What He Wants. Unless You Already Know, I Recommend Access Secure Pak. I Got My Man His Stuff From There And Everything Got To Him Within The Next Week, So That Was Cool.

Thanks for the answers I change my name but it seems like when I call I keep gettting the run around he is in F2 and it is so hard when he was in county we talk 3 or 4 times a day and I seen him everyday but now he is there and I have not talk to him in a month does it get easier? How do you know if they can have contact visits ?

Hello, this is my first day on this and it seems like everyone's questions and answers are helping me some much. My boyfriend was just sent to Donovan two weeks ago, still have not talked to him on the phone. So it is hard, but I was wondering what exactly can I send him in the mail can someone let me know. How long does it normally take for them to see an counsleor and for visits to be approved he has been there since dec 5th and nothing so far this waiting game is killing me 1st the mail was backed up and now this. If anyone has any answers please help

Okay...to Find Out Exactly Where He Is Located, U Can Call The Prison (619)661-6500 And Go To Inmate Records, They Will Need His Cdc# To Let You Know. About Visiting...he Will Need To Send You A Form, You Fill It Out And Mail It Back To The Visitng Department, Which The Addi Is : Visiting Dept.

Once You Send It, It Takes About 3-4 Weeks To Know If Your Approved, If You Get Approved They Will Tell Him, If Youre Denied They Will Send You Something, But If He Doesnt Find Out Withint 3-4 Weeks If Youve Been Approved, Then You Can Call And Pretend Youre Making An Appointment ( You Need To Make An Appt If Its A Non-contact Visit Anyways)...so If Youre Able To That Means Youre Approved. They Dont Get Phone Calls When They Are In Reception, So You Wont Be Able To Hear From Him Or Get Contact Visits Until He Is Endorsed. Of Course You Can Write And Visit, But Its Only On The Weekends You Can Visit. Once He Is Endorsed And You Can Get Contact Visits, You No Longer Need To Make Appts, You Just Go Within The Hours Of 8am And 3 Pm On Saturday Or Sunday Or Both, To Get Your Visits. JoJo_SD, Thanks for all of your help. I also have a boyfriend in Donovan and found it very frusturating to deal with all of the run arounds or getting the visit form cleared, not hearing from him, etc. I finally got approved to visit and will be seeing my man on Sat :)!!! through my trials of figuring out the system, I found a trick to get to a person who can schedule your visits. If you dial 6670 after you hear the automated system come on then you will get transferred directly to visiting. Sometime you will get nothing but rings... this means they aren't trying to answer their phones and I usually call back later. I've been on the phone for hours fighting with the automated system and holding for a worker. I've found that the time waiting on hold is a waste of time and dialing the extention 6670 and hoping the someone will answer soon is what works best. If there is no answer, just call back a little later until u get someone. What a pain huh? But I hope this info makes things a little easier.
