Update..... Its been 6 months now. We have had a lt of ups and downs but things are going sooooo good! I know I have my soulmate and couldnt ask for more! I am so lucky to have him home and I know he feels the same way! I still have to stop sometimes and just think WOW! He is home this is all real! And we have shown the world that it is posible!!! He is working and just got his first raise! He takes care of the house when I am not home, the kids love him (but they always have) and we see his kids as often as we can. IT is everything I had hoped for, everyhting I had prayed for and its funny because most of our issues were me being afraid. Now though, it seems that it is all falling into place. I dont worry anymore when he walks out the door what he is going to do, if he is coming home whatever! Its all real. But my fears were not. I am here to tell you the road may be long and it may be hard but for us it was worth it!!!!!! I have never been this happy I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!!!

That is a really wonderful story.. My boyfriend just went to work release a few weeks ago, and I've noticed how much things have changed for the better just with that transition. It really does get better.. and your story is proof positive that good things can and do happen in the end :) Thanks for sharing your story :)

Awesome! My man isn't in yet but will not accept the fact that I have promised to wait for him. Did you go through this?

kellil,

This is wonderful to hear! This is my favorite forum, for here we see that no matter how hard the road is, that you can make that come back because others have done it!

We all go through that, it is really hard when you are the one who is leaving to accept and - believe - that someone will wait for you.

I told Linda to forget me, to go on with her life, as long as I knew my daughter was going be taken care of - I was happy - and I wanted Linda to be happy in life and I knew that even if we did not get back together Sara would be cared for by Linda like she was her own.

It is part of the fear, your already losing so much, including your freedom, it is a way of saying I love you by letting go.

They only way you can relay his fears, is to just be there, I almost did not put Linda on my visitation list, but went ahead and did it anyway, thinking oh she won't come. She did, every weekend - did not matter I was 150 miles away one way, she was there every visitation and when I walked out that gate - she was there.

That is the only to prove it to him, it is going to be hard, but love has withstood far worse over the centuries, you two can do this time - together.

Just read these success stories - you'll see that you can do it!
