View Full Version : Any1 Heard About New 65% Law !?!?

has any1 else heard about this "supposingly" new law about to pass that inmates will have to serve 65% of there time instead of 85%, and if so, when does this go in effect

Some have mentioned it from time to time, but all I've been able to hear are rumors, etc. Some say it is because of prison overcrowding that this is going into affect. Like you, I would really like to have some clear concise information.

Hi... My hubby and my brother inlaw in diferent prisons, said that there that rumor about this new law... any one knows???

if thhis is the same thing but what i have come acrosss is the reviving of the parole and good time allowance for federal inmate and from what i have talk with my husband about this he said if the do revive the system that mean 85% is dead and 65% is alive again you can find out more at fedCure .comit is call HR3072 this has allresy pasted the house. and fedcure board member went to DCbcakmin oct.2005 and they are to return in june of 2006 . when more 411 is ready i will inform everyone

I Have Heard It Too But I Dont Think It Applies For People Who Are Already In Jail

It depends on what your in for.I called the governors office,if your a first or second time felon with no violent background you can come up for parole in a third of your time.My son got 5 years knocked down to 2 1/2 but should be out in 18 months. We pray for that anyway

I'm curious, is your son in state or fed, and what is he in for? My bf is being charge by fed with possession w/intent to distribute, it's his first offense and his lawyer say he might be looking at a long time.
