When I worked at a prison in McFarland, CA there were inmates getting bit by the "brown" spider. I'm sure most of you have heard of it. One guy got bit on his nose and his nose got so huge. It took months to heal. Then, another guy got bit on the leg and the bite started to just eat his skin away and it was so nasty. There were also guys who had boils on there neck and it got so big and pussy that I was sick to stomach looking at it. I've worked in medical before too and whenever and inmate comes in and complains about a medical conditioin the nurse/doctor treats them as if they are a big baby or that they just want attention and aren't in any real pain. My fiance was very sick a few weeks ago and we thought he had apendicitis, but he refused to go to the doctor, because he's had surgery before when he was locked up years ago and it was a really bad experience. The doctor was eating a donut while doing surgery and there was dust all over the operating room. Luckily, he got better and the swelling went down. This is an outrage and should not be tolerated. I don't care what crime the inmate committed, they are still human and still need some dignity.

MY MAN WAS AT WASCO AND KEPT GETTING SPIDER BITES, WHEN I WENT TO VISIT HIM I TOLD THE CO " WHATS UP WITH ALL THE SPIDERS" HE SAID OH THEIR JUST BIG BABIES AND COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING, WELL THE NEXT WEEK WHEN I WENT BACK THE SAME CO TOLD ME, HE GOT BIT BY A SPIDER. EVEN WHEN I WALKED UP THE WALKWAY THERE WERE SPIDERS ALL OVER THE SIDEWALK.

i've seen those kind of bits...we have those giant nasty spiders all over in cali...they literaly eat away the skin and mustle tissue and they leave giant holes with black dead wounds!! they are horribly painful and leave scars forever. they look like bullet wounds...i feel so sorry for those guys!!! i dont care what they did to get locked up, brown or wolf spider bites hurt like hell for weeks!!!
