I left my house around 6 am & got to the FCI around 9:30. It was a really pretty drive through the mountains then pop out right along the coast.
Anyhow, when I got in the visitation yard, I had to wait about an hour because they were between moves. I totally caught him off guard.
When he walked in, I stood up but had to sit back down because my knees gave out. When I got the strength to stand back up, we both had this huuge smile that wrapped totally around ours heads!
I just started bawling! All the built up emotions I had just came out. I was also scared that I was dreaming & that any moment I was going to wake up.
Finally, he just grabbed me in his arms & hugged me like he's never hugged me before. The first time we kissed I thought I was going to die!
We spent that day & the next two just walking through this huge visitation area. We grubbed on the food from the vending machines and just enjoyed each other. (Ok Ok so he snuck a feel too - WOOHOO!)
I did good & didn't smoke that whole day. But yesterday & today I did. You can bring in 1 unopened pack of cigs. I brought in gum too (contraband) cuz I wanted fresh breath :)
Anyhow, it was so awesome! I never thought it possible to be able to fall in love with someone all over, but we did. I feel sooooooo connected to him even tho he's there.
We laughed and we shared some tears. But overall, this just confirmed that we are soulmates and are meant for each other. There's no one else in this world that can make my heart flutter than him.
Saturday we got pics taken. He will get them back next Thursday. SO in two weeks I'll have them posted.
I feel so much calmer & at ease now. Next trip, I'm taking my 10 yr old.
I did meet a couple of ladies from Sacramento today. I raved about PTO so hopefully we'll have a couple of new members.
One of the best things was that we were right next to the chapel. In July, this is where Todd & I become offically man & wife.
