In the last day or two a man killed a robber and stabbed another. He had come home to find his girl freind bound up and a man with a sword and another with a gun holding her in their house while they looked for money and valuables, they tied up the boyfriend too, but he got loose, somehow got the sword off one of them and killed him, and chased the other down the street stabbing him also.
Now so far the police have said that there will be no arrests against this man who was acting in self defence which I believe is the Australian way of looking at it. Someone breaks into your house and abuses you and your girlfreind and you try to get them out. I dont agree in the killing though.

Now I have been noticing that the American courts seem to give out huge sentences for crimes and am just wondering what the boyfreind would have been given if this happend in any of the states in America. I have also noticed that it varies GREATLY between states over there. whats with that??

hey Rhys

that was a pretty awesome footage, did you see the long Japanese sword? Somehow I thik any guy coming home to find his girlfriend bound and two men with BIG sharp weapons in the house has got a right to defend himself and protect 'his woman'. I also wonder what the USA would do... maybe the living intruder would sue sue sue ;) (joke)

It does vary from state to state. I like to think most states here would investigate first. But at the most, I think they might arrest the man and then release him just to make it official until he was cleared. This story sounds like a cut and dry case to me though so I can't imagine the cops arresting anyone here either. That is just unreal
