Hi all i have a close friend in Jamestown and usually mail goes from me to him and back to me in 11 days--- Yes I Count... he is in ad-seg so it is usually slow. but now it's been about 16 days :( without any reply. i know he's not just not writing me, we are like best friends and nothing (thank God) has been wrong between us. But he is going to be transfered to Tehachapi sometime soon, not sure when. So i was thinking he might have been transfered but wouldnt i have gotten a letter back from Jamestown if i had missed him or couldnt he have written by now???? Im hoping mail is slow there. Any information at all would be great. Plus any additional info on Jamestown or Tehachapi Ad-Seg would be great. Thanx...Lilly:o

Call Jamestown and ask for the Records dept....Ask if he's still there, if you have his CDC#.

I don't know about Ad-Seg specifically, but mail is running slow at Jamestown. It is taking about 7 days for me to receive a letter from him, it usually takes 2 days. He still hasn't received letters I mailed 2 weeks ago, and last week I got 4 letters in one day, and nothing the rest of the week. :confused: I don't know what's going on there, hope this info. helps:o and you hear from your friend soon.

I know my man, who is in Jamestown, doesnt get mail I send out for 2 weeks or more, so of course a response to any letter will take a while. Hope you get a letter soon

Hey mail is really slow going it took me almost a month to get a response from him. It sucks too. But he did mention that the mail was slow there and for me not to trip.. So i wouldn't worry about him confused...Because if you are the way i am with my friend, he's not going to not write back to you...He's keeping close contact with you. Just remember who's handling the mail on their side....

What is the Jamestown prison level 1 like? My husband might be getting transferred from High Desert in Susanville.

My husband is in Jamestown, I get his letters in about 3 days, but it takes anywhere from 1-2 weeks for him to get mine!

im not sure what level one is like, my boy was in Ad~Seg but he said mainline was fine there, i dont think you have a lot to worry about.

i know it takes me to get my letters like 2-3 days but for him it's about 2-3 weeks. it sucks though. because we have a little bit of drama that's getting started on the outside. and it's done with out here. but he's still hearing about it because of the letters and how slow it is in there..

I have a friend in Jamestown also. I get a letter from him in about 3-4 days, but it can take up to a week or so to get in coming mail. Jamestown mail room sucks.

My man is in level 1 and he doesnt complain much in there, my brother in law (from my x) is there as well and they seem to do fine, once in a while they will say that there were fights or stabbings but not often

My sweetie is in Jamestown level 3 They are saying the mail is 11-15 days behind they said it is because of the holiday I guess that is why it is so slow it makes me so mad

I think we all know the truth. They are just completely slow up there in Jamestown. My fiance is there and it takes him about three to four weeks to get my letters. The only time he gets it within a week or so is when I send his mail in one of those Flat Rate envelopes from the Post Office. He says that he gets those within a few days. Mail going in takes forever, but when he writes me it takes about a week for me to get his letters. But I am all the way in Louisiana and he is in Cali.

I write to my husband everyday, and when he calls he says everytime why arn't you writing to me, so there is a seriously something wrong with the mail system up in Jamestown. His letters take about nine days to get here.

Hi ladies well i might as well put my 2 cents in also. The mail at Jamestown is extremely slow. My fiance says that my mail is taking about 14 days to get to him. Some times they hold his mail and give it to him all at once. He got 7 letters from me in one day now what's wrong with this picture huh? I write him every day also. The letters i get from him are taking about 2 weeks to get to me. How sad huh? Seems they don't care if we hear from our guys or not huh? Good luck ladies i wait on my post man all the time.
