I just searched the Oregon DOC website and learned that Oregon doesn't have an 'inmate locator'.

I have a friend who is looking for her uncle, and she believes that he is locked up somewhere in Oregon. Does anyone have any idea how I could go about finding out if he is or not? Any numbers I can call, or anything?

Any advice would be appreciated.

you can also use the oregon vine line. the victim information and notification extenstion. there is a link to to on the odoc web site, or you can also get it off telephone information. (411) all you need is the inmates full name and date of birth. it tells where they are and when they get out, and if anything changes in their release date.

Oregon State Penitentiary at (503) 378-2597. They'll give you VINE's number. Dial that number and talk to a live representative. Be sure you have the last name and the first name spelled out. SID # and addresses doesn't matter. They can give you that info.
