I have a friend in Texas Prison that is wanting to take some art classes DOes anyone know of one or two or any other type of stricly correspondance courses that he can take to bide his time he is a lifer and can't go to the school there in Wyndham Unit. SUCKS Some one help him keep his mind busy .....

There are some websites on learning to draw and exercises on how to improve. So far I have printed pages and pages on how to do portrait drawing, pen and ink drawing and also many examples of things my sweetie asked for and sent them in the mail.
If you cannot find what you need among those, maybe a book would be an idea to send???

As for pictures; if he asked for wolves or eagles or frogs, I would just google it, but than clicking at pictures of course. See if I could find a nice drawing he could use to copy and see how it was done that I would be able to print, and than just print them.
For portrait art, look at http://www.portrait-artist.org/ and for pen and ink try http://www.homeschoolarts.com/penink.htm . Just google whatever he needs and see what you can send that could be helpful.

There are also books for sale. If you cannot send the book, buy it and send in photocopies a few at a time. That is often allowed.
