I am coming all the way from Vt. to see my hunny at Bibb C.F I have a few questions about the clothes you can wear there. Ive been driving myself crazy worrying about it as it is a long way to go and get turned away because of what Im wearing. First of all- Can you wear jeans? second- I found a cute shirt that wasnt low cut or see- through but it has metal buttons on it, will that be allowed? Third- what about a belt with a metal buckle? And last how about a little white sweater to wear over my dress because I know its going to cold in Dec.

The rules for clothes are basically the same for most prisons. The sweater you mentioned I wouldn't even attempt. You can't wear ANYTHING white. I wore a white t-shirt under a red zip up sweater once and they made me zip it ALL the way up so no white would show.

The best way to do that is just always put extra clothes in your car. Thats what I always do, and I have been going to Bibb for 3 years now. Because you never know what to expect when you step-in any prison. They are pretty cool though. As long as its nothing white, see-threw, low cut, sometime funny about splits, no button-up dresses, and dresses and skirts are always worn with slip, ect. But you can get your husband to send you a drress code before you come. If you feel that you will be turned away, get a black t-shirt and black jeans and you know you will get in. Good luck on your trip down south.

Thanks Denise. i really appreciate all the help youve given me since this is my first time going through all this. Maybe we will meet on the 24th when I go to visit. Allen is in the faith dorm too. He said he knows kenny and he is a good guy. im so happy for you that kenny will be coming home to you soon. All my best...
with my experiences the safest way is to wear jeans and a tee shirt or a pull over shirt. White shoes as Denise said are fine, just make sure you always have on underclothing. There is a Winn Dixie not to far from the prison and they have scrub uniforms. My daughter in law had to go there and buy my grandson who is 11, a pair of scrub pants because they would not let him in with a pair of shorts on that came way below his knees but the women can wear in capri pants. Go figure. Good luck.
