View Full Version : Idaho Inmate moves to MN have started and my husband was one of them
I just missed a call from my Appelton MN.. I wasnt sure who it was and by the time I answered it they were gone. After doing some checking I discovered it was the prison in Appelton MN.. The lady I talked to here in Idaho said they werent supposed to take those who fell under two years, but it seems that criteria has changed......
This caught us off gaurd and we didnt think it would effect us at all. I didnt hear from last week and now I know why. I had NO idea he was moved until I missed this call.
My advice to everyone is check in with your loved ones and make sure you know where they are

babygirl350 10-24-2005, 08:10 PM Very sorry to hear this. It is bad enough when they move them across the same state, but wow to another state? Why in the world would they do this?
I know it must be quite a blow to you as well as your children. After all you have been through to get the visiting and now to have this happen. Such a shame.
Know that we are all here for you.

ndocwife 10-25-2005, 09:10 PM Oh My God Tanya! I am SO sorry! But- Phil and I are living proof- this can be done! He and I didn't see each other for the entire 13 years... maybe that's why we're still together... LOL!
This is SO no funny, but I wanted to try to lighten your mood for a minute.

Thank you all for the support. I cant tell you how much it means to me right now. I know that many others have been through and are going through what I am right now. I know I'm not alone in this. I am still in shock and keep hoping that I will wake up and this will be a bad dream. I'm still at the point where all I do is cry when I think about it. I have cried more in the last 24 hours then I have the entire time we have been together.
PattiD1157 10-25-2005, 10:18 PM All DOC's may have what they call criteria. One of the many problems with their criteria is that it is subject to change at any time. My honey was told for months that with the criteria for WA he had nothing to worry about as far as an out of state transfer. Well he had a 2 day notice to pack up and he was gone....I found out afterwards. It has happened with so many states and it is so wrong. It is so heartbreaking Tanya knowing what you are going through. I will promise you that if you need anything at all you have got the bestest support system in the whole wide world here with PTO!!!

Thank you very much. I know Chris and I have been through some tough times and yes we can get through this, but right now I am having a hard time being strong. I actually think he is being stronger then I am. At least thats what I got from his counselor today when I talked to him. He said he talked to Chris right before he left and in fact helped him pack up and the only thing Chris was worried about was me and the kids.

He is over 1300 miles away now and he used to be 13 miles away. I wont be seeing him until he is back home. To visit will cost me over $400 to drive or fly
