I love those how we met stories and I find its so much harder when its in a IR relationship, there seems to be so many obstacles, nasty comments and so on... so I would love to hear the good things in the relationship that keeps all that negativity out. WELL WE MET IN MIDDLE SCHOOL WHICH WAS OVER 10 YEARS AGO. WHEN HE WENT AWAY I KEPT IN TOUCH WITH HIM AND WE GOT CLOSER AND CLOSER. WE FINALLY MARRIED LAST YEAR BECUZ NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENED IN OUR LIVES OR WHAT DIRECTION LIFE TOOK US WE ALWAYS CAME BACK TO EACH OTHER. WE DONT REALLY HAVE MANY OBSTACLES BESIDES HIS INCARCERATION. ALL THE COMMENTS AND DIRTY LOOKS DONT REALLY BOTHER US. WE JUST DO OUR THING AND SHAKE IT OFF.:)

I was walking down the street and he kept screaming hey at me and I was ignoring him so he ran up to me and started talking and it was something about the things he was saying that made me ask him to walk with me. He walked me to my house and I invited him in and I don't think he ever really left.

We met by accident .. We both were on a chat line and making fun of the other ppl on there.. Well he sends me a message .. I reply back and we start to talk on the phone .. and from the time i heard his voice i knew he was the one who will complete me. and i would be at his side no matter what.

We met thru being penpals in the beginning. I was married at the time and going thru a divorce. I was married to a black man as well with 3 beautiful biracial children. Then after I was divorced we became closer and closer. Now we been knowing each other for some years now. We dont have any obstacles concerning race. My family loves and excepts us. My mother says he is her other son. His family treats me as I am one of their own. So it's all good baby.

Well My baby and I met a lil over 3 yrs ago...

My best friend (who is black) was a C/O at a unit here in TX.. She was the craft shop supervisor... We talked on the phone all the time...
Well her clerk (who was an offender) would always be talking crap in the background.. Us being best friends, she told him everything about me... It all started out making fun of eachother and so on...turned into flirting...
We started to write eachother and talk on the phone with the help of my best friend!!!!!

Now 3 yrs later!! We are in love... he will be home in 9 months!!
I thank my best friend everyday for matching us up :-)!!!
(BTW I am white and he is black..i guess u could see the pic huh :-) )

We haven't received too much bad attention being an interracial relationship..I am having trouble with my family simply because he is incarcerated, but it is taboo to them.. I am sure they will grow to love him as much as I do!!

These are real cool stories, thanks for sharing :) I have a pen pal who is a different race of me, and him and I hit it off big time and I know if he was on the outside..well who knows??? but my family in no way would support that, thats just the way they are. But him and I we really click.

...personal ad in a paper that he just by chance put his ad in...which turned out to be the paper near where I lived...we lived an hour from each...we call it destiny...we got to know each over the phone before we actually met...and had already developed a great friendship by then...:)

I met his sister one night and all night she kept telling me "my brother would love you, you have to meet him" so a few days later we talked on the phone and 3 and a half years later the rest is history :) We will never be able to repay her for introducing us.

I met my fiance almost 6 years ago when I was on a chat line! He sent me a message and we talked for about 3 weeks before I would meet him. Finally I agreed to meet him at the movies. The funny thing is I thought that he was white and when we met at the movies and he was black I almost shit my pants because I had no clue. But I love him with all my heart!!!! Every since then I have never looked at a white man! Only black men!

I met him at the House of Blues in Disney World. His group had a show there and his peoples invited me down because it was my birthday. That was the best present I ever got!!!!

how we met it was ao meant to be..I live in bushnell florida and my baby is in sumter CI here in the same town well I sit on my front porch all the time just watching the cars go by the prison van with the work release inmate on it rides by like 3 times a day I would always see this one man always waving so I decided to go on the doc website and look up his face and when I did something just told me stop right there he's the one for you so I got his DC# and wrote him feeling like a complete fool I asked him was he the one I always see he wrote back a few days later and told me no and wished me luck finding the man im searching for but being me I wasnt gonna give up that easy so I wrote again and the rest is history .....get this he knew my middle name before I told him he said the lord showed him my middle name aint that crazy???we are so meant to be and the crazy thing about it is I dont ever talk to men I dont know but i dont regret it:)

My sister and I were getting our Master's degrees together. Right before our last course her husband left her, so as the big sister I was doing everything to keep her going...our first class fell on the first weekend that her kids stayed with their dad and she was having a really hard time, so I told her let's do the reading for the class, then treat ourselves to some shopping at the mall and some dinner. The last thing I had on my mind was meeting anybody. We went to the restaurant and unbeknowst to me, when he was pulling in, he saw me and told his friend I'm gonna hold the door for that girl climbing out of the Pilot so I can check her out.... I was oblivious to the whole thing..... didn't even notice him. Then while we were eating, he and his friend were playind darts but he kept looking at our table.. Finallly my sister said "I don't care what you do, you can smile , or stick out your tongue, but would you please just give the guy behind us some attention so he will quit lookin', it's you he's lookin at, not me." I did and then he came up and talked to us for a while and offered to buy me another drink, but I said No, we have to go home and study. When I got ready to leave we exchanged numbers. It was weird because I wasn't all that impressed but then when he didn't call I was sort of sad that I didn't hear from him...... About 6 weeks later I was bored and frustrated and thought what the heck I willl call this number... and said you probably don't remeber me , but..he called me back like two minutes later add told me he remembered everything about me... the blue eyes, the little frame, and that I had just made him the happiest man in the world because he had hit the wrong button on his phone when he was saving my number and deleted it and that he totally bummed because he knew I was not the type to call up a guy so he thought he would never hear from me... we went out for drinks that night and everything clicked and the rest is history!

We met way back in middle school...we used to skip school together...ha! Anyway he was always getting in trouble and I moved away and lost contact for several years. I moved back and ran into him...high school years and when I saw him and all the old memories came back, I knew I loved him, but I was in a relationship-I got married right out of high school. several years passed and he got locked up. I decided to get a divorce, why be with someone when you love someone else? So I contacted my guy in prison and it was on from then. He had always loved me and never had the courage to tell me until I found him...the rest is history!

Wow, what a great question! We met back in 1995 at a park.. Me and my girl friend gave out our numbers to some guys. For a week after that I was receiving phone calls in the middle of the night which was obviously too late to hook up. (It was actually quite annoying at the time). When we actually got together we just clicked.... I felt soo much love in the time that we had together. We were driven appart by his crazy X-girl. She would show up at my house strapped, slashed my tires, calling and screaming all of the time, and I have kids, I cant have that kind of drama. Any way about 6 years ago, I began looking for him. I thought about him it seems like every day for the last 10 years. I thought now that I have my life together and maybe she would be long gone by now, we could try. I finally found him in CDC Sept 29, 2005! She has been gone for 6 years and he remembers me, misses me and thinks about me more than I know, he told me that he fell inlove with me and is so happy that I found him! I have only recieved one letter from him so far, the mail takes sooooo long! But, my dreams are finally comeing true. I hope. Its hard to get support from family and friend because for one he is black and for two he is in Prison. He has came so far in the last couple years, I can tell by his writing and I do believe he is the love of my life.

He was helping my uncle with his old house and I went down to visit my cousin he was in the back yard and I saw him ater that day we just kept running into each other (ok maybe I made myself run into him) then we started hanging out and it just kinda went from there.

We met in a club, which I am so against meeting men in clubs. And at the time I was against love and just causually dating. Well i saw him and it was love at first sight. I kept seeing him checking me out, so i was trying not to be obvious. My friend walked away and got a drink from the bar, so i was standing there alone, i could see him out of the corner of my eye walking towards me, but then he got shy and stopped about 3 feet from me, his cousin saw all of this and pushed him into me, we started laughing and he said hi, im david.....it was love from that point on. We laugh all the time how it was so elementary school with his cousin pushing him into me, especially since he's 36 and im 24. I love him with all my heart and cant wait to be in his arms again.

My daughter was having a bit of financial trouble, she lives in a different state and I was expecting a call from her so I could transfer some funds. Before leaving for work that morning and for the very first time I transferred my home phone to my cell phone so that I wouldn't miss her call...

I was outside of my office smoking, a few minutes before I had to go back from lunch when a call comes through from the county jail. I thought it was my ex boyfriend as he sometimes was late on child support (not mine) and wanted to give him an earfull about having the audacity to call me for help!

It was Sebastian who was in jail waiting to be transferred to prison and trying to get in touch with a family member whose phone number was similar to mine. We chatted for a moment and I told him to let me 3 way the call for him. When he and his family were finished we chatted again, quite easily. My background working with disenfranchised young people led me to agree when he asked if he could call me sometime.

We talked and wrote letters for a couple of months. It became clear to me that he didn't need me as his family were good people who supported him wholeheartedly but we had a growing friendship. I had recently begun dating again after a lengthy relationship that was nothing but bad. I enjoyed the company of men but wasn't looking to begin a new relationship.

Sebastian had other ideas. He understood where I was coming from and never pushed the issue but over time we fell in love and there was no turning back. As far as the IR thing goes that was never an issue as I consider myself an equal opportunity kinda dater, LOL. He is 15 years younger than me, infact a year older than my oldest child and I am 9 months younger than his mom. Again, not an issue as I tend to date younger men.

Sebastian had 14 months left to do when I met him, he's been home for 14 months now and like most couples we have our ups and downs but we are together and nothing like race or age differences, religion, etc can get us down.

I Actually Met My Honey Briefly One Week Before His Arrest,if You Can Believe That. I Was On Vaction With My Ex Husband, No! I Didn't Leave My Husband For My New Love. We Grew Apart And Divorced This Past Summer.(june) So I Decided To See How He Was Doing, We Clicked......however, My Baby Passed Away In August Not To Mention The Hurricane (katrina) Forced Me Out Of My Home And City.if It Wasn't For My Honey I'd Be 6 Feet Under. It's My Belief That He Was Sent To Me... To Survive The Most Painful Thing Thats Ever Happend To Me. I'm Doing Well, I Moved To Texas To Be Near My Honey.

I met my BF when both of us were waiting in line for the cashier at coffee shop. The line was proceeding extremely slow, and that's why we started talking. Actually we burst into laughter when we looked at each others' facial expression(he was standing in front of me) because we found same frustrated expression on our faces! It's funny how people could instantly relates to others. We also had similar jobs, and that made us connect to each other pretty quick as well.

Well I met my beloved BR, Husband, Finance, what ever it is you would like to call him, of 5 years. We worked for the same company I was the Administrative Asst. and he was a new Dump truck driver, He came into the office to fill out paper work, I was in a bad mood and he just sat and laugh at me..... We completed the paper work and later that week my daugther had a track meet so her father had picked her up and brought her to my job, we were in my office agruging about the shoes she needed I want to buy a pair that was going to cost no more than $20 and she wantted some that cost $150.00. We here he came again, to ask a question about the paper work he had filled out, and heard us agruing about the shoes and called my dauther out side and give her he money for the shoes... Well I let that day go by, but the next day when I got there I seen him getting ready to head out, of course still up set becasue of what he did I let him have it... Well I guess he enjoyed it becasue for the next week or so I was getting flowers sent to me, along with Mickey Mouse items... We finally went out about a month later and you know he is still around... We all laugh at the fact that I had told him off here at the office due to the fact I am petite women, I am 4'8 about 105 lbs, and he is 6'8 about 220 so I looked like a child next to him... But we are happy and cant wait unitl he comes home...... I hope you enjoyed my story becasue I have enjoyed our life together.... :thumbsup: By the way we have an IR realtionship but I dont give a D*** to each is his own...

I was at a bad time in my life living in a friends garage helping to take care of her (she's disabled) and I felt like I had more in common with prisoners than people out here. Well, I wrote to a couple of guys on death row and became good friends with a guy on DR in Texas. Before he was executed I asked him if he knew of anyone he trusted that I could befriend. He did.

I got a letter from my man and we corresponded for 2 years before I went to Texas to meet him and see with my own peepers if he really meant what he was saying in all those letters. I got the shock of my life. No man has ever looked at me with that amount of love and desire in his eyes.

We are both plain country folks just hanging on til he can get out and start a new life!

i have known him for 12 years. were neighbors when we were kids. we used to get into so much trouble together. when we got older we started dating and that was 7 years ago. we remain together ever since. and we are getting married next month. we don't have any obstacles. my family likes him and i grew up with his family so the is no confusion in our lives besides him being locked up so far away

I first saw my fiance while I was doing my student teaching in college. He lived near the elementary school where I was teaching. I would occasionally see him outside while we were at recess. Almost a year later we saw each other again in the mall, where I work. He came into the store while I was working and asked for my number, and the rest is history.

we met at the grocery store.he was workin and i asked if icould be arrested for trying to pick up the police as a joke andeven though we well i have had my misgivinings he has not left my side since. i wondered at times if i was meant to be with my ex but through duane giving me oppurtunity to explore my feelings and writing my ex i realized that i have changed alot and he is still the same. i believe me and duane have a stronger relationship now because we both appericate the little things.

By The End Of The Trip He Told Me He Didnt Know Any Other Way Of Getting My Attention. I Called Him A Week Later. He Was My First Ir Boyfriend.:)

We met at work..when I first got the job all the girls were talking about "that guy in the shoe department" then i saw him and he was amazing..that night when I was closing he walked in front of me and smiled as I was going to the escalator I just had to say something..he was quickly un-doing his tie and un-buttoning his shirt so i said "geez your in a rush to get out of here" and he said "yeah i hate wearing suits". that night we talked in the parking lot for about two hours..we were the last ones there. Then we realized we were just sitting on our cars (which happened to be parked right next to each other) talking so we deicided to call it a night, he gave me his number and I called him the next night, we talked for about 5 hours and we are still together to this day!!

His cousin is one of my closest friends. He was dating my best friend and had asked meif I'd go out with my husband. I had no clue who he was or what he looked like, but I agreed to do it. My husband was very quite and intimidated by me. We had a good time and he told me he'd call me. Well, i waited for a few weeks and when he didn't call, I went over to his cousin's house and started cursing him out. He was in the kitchen and heard me. He came out and told me just for being a spolied brat, he was going to call me every minute of the day and come to my house and be a pest. Well, he came to my house and from that day on, we lived together and 19 years later, here we are.

I met Tony in Dec of 02. I had met this guy Brandon at the mall one day and he introduced me to his brother Eric. Eric and me became good friends and Eric introduced me to his friend Sedric. Sedric then introduced me to his cousin Tony. But me and Tony just talked on the phone until we decided to meet at the mall and from there on we were best friends then got into a relationship.

OH I love telling this story:D . I met him when I was 14, he was one of my best friend's older brother. I truly fell in love with him the first time I saw his newborn son laying on his bare chest and he was humming to put him to sleep. Ahhh what a memory. He always used to tell me how much he liked me and he said " Damn if you werent my sister's best friend, I could make your life complete." LOL Nothing ever happened with us, he was always running the streets and I was a goodie goodie (sort of) "hite girl."I wrote him when he first to prison (he was 18 when he went in and I was 16). Then we lost touch b/c I hadnt talked to my friend and he moved facilities and I moved into my own apt. Then about a year 1/2 ago I started talking to his sister and I wrote him. We have been writing at least 3 trimes a week ever since. Just a month ago we told eachother we loved one another. He has another 2 years (hopefully) left. He just turned 22 and I am 19. I will marry him, God I love that man, and his son. I cant stop smiling:D :D :D :D

me and my husband met about 15years ago, i was on the bus coming home from work him and his buddy was in the back of the bus and he motioned me to come back there, he was so fine he had on a guess jean outfit with no shirt on under the jacket and unbuttoned, so sexxxxxxxy he started asking me if i had a man and i said my man was with his woman lol anyway he asked me if i was going to be his and i told him yes and he told me to prove it and i stuck about a yard of tongue down his throat and after that we hung out alot and he introduced me to all of his family and sadly he got locked up for now it has been 13 years coming home in 11 months no matter what direction our lives have been we always ended up back together and we got married in june of 2003 he is my soulmate, my world my life and i wouldn't have it any other way

My husband and I met on October 23rd 2004. That was the first day of the rest of my life:) . I tell my husband he saved my life. We had our first date the following day at and have been together ever since. We tell each other that we fell in love on our first date. We married just this past July and one week before our 3 month Anniversary he was arrested:( . We wont be able to celebrate our first Anniversary together because he wont be up for his first parole until April/2008. I will wait for him, because he is worth it. We are soulmates, we truely believe that. For those who are sceptical, please believe that it can happen. He is and forever will be my King:bow: . We get a kick out of people "looking" at us. Its like HELLO ITS 2006. Get over it. You can't help who you fall in love. I just happen to fall in love with someone with a better tan. LOL

Me and my baby met in '01 at my job. He approached me and it was love at first sight for the both of us. It might sound weird, but we developed some kind of "bond" and everything seemed so right. My friends used to tell me that they never saw me so happy. We actually broke up after 6 months of being together but things were actually BETTER between us! Unfortunately, he hooked up with some other girl, but we still "did our thing" for a couple years. Right before he got locked up, we kind of started fading cuz he was so caught up in this big time drug crap (his current offense) and it was hard for him to make time for us. When he got locked up in the County, I wrote him cuz I knew he would need some "REAL" friends in his life (since his ex girlfriend dumped him when he got locked up). We never actually fell out of love with one another even through all of the obstacles. We kept writing one another every week and became closer and closer on a mental level. I think he now realizes that I am the one that will stick by his side through everything and anything. He even got a jail "tat" with my name on his arm! He is now incarcerated in a federal prison and we have never been more in love. We plan on marrying in Jamaica when he gets out.

I met my husband eight years ago. It was the first day for both of us being online. I don't remember the chat room we were in but he sent me an IM and we hit it off. Somehow I knew even then that he would one day be my husband. The rest is history. This prison stint is the only rocky road we have traveled in all that time.

I was managing my sons football team and I became real good friends with a mother on the team and she felt I needed to start dating. LOL She told me I should really meet a friend of hers. A few days later He called we met a week later he was not my type at all not because of the color of his skin but he was just not. He grew on me because he is one of the funniest sweetest man. 7 YEARS LATER we have a 3 year old lil boy and just married.

I had just moved to West Virginia from North Carolina and was in a living hell hole. I was walking down the mall when I saw my now son's father walking out of Foot Locker with about 6 bags so of course I thought "I need to snag him up quick fast & in a hurry". He started walking behind me and I decided to start doing my "cute bow-legged walk" while sticking my butt out a little. It worked like a charm and I snagged him. That was December 5, 2003 and our first date was December 11, 2003. Since then we've been on a roll & I can not wait until he gets out next May!!!!

I met my fiance 3 years ago through an online dating service. We emailed back and fourth for about 3 months because of scheduling issues. We really got to know each other very well. We finally met for lunch and it was definately lust at first sight. We have been together ever since. This is the best relationship I have ever had with anyone. Although we are an IR couple we were raised similarly and get along fantastic.

:) I used to work at a small town cigarette store and he'd come into talk even though he didn't smoke or anything. He came every week for almost a year before I went out with him. He was and still is the gentlest most loving man I've ever met.

I was working at a convenience store (3rd shift), and he would come in almost every night and bug the **** out of me. I thought he was quite annoying at first lol. This went on for about a year and we got to know each other better. One night the place next door was robbed and the police had asked the managers if we could shut down for the night. It was a small town and we were the only place open 24/7. They had arrested the people in the car but someone was still on foot, and were afraid they would come in there. (Guess my employers didn't want to lose the 20 or 30 bucks I pulled in sales). Anyway, he had come in shortly after and found out what had happened. He stayed with me all night. I thought it was sweet. After that he asked me out to dinner, and here we are 6 years later.

Well jeffrey was the man next door literally. I was moving into the apparment next to his and he offered to help me and my brothers move. I was toore up from the floor up but we keep in contact he did little things for me here and there. then eventually he disapeered. I couldn't understand and on date night I went looking for him becuse I knew it was not like him to disapeer like that. Turned out he was in jail! then from there he and I started writing each other, one week later he asked me to marry him. Now he is stuck with me for the rest of his life. lol

My husband and I met in a correctional institution 7 and a half years ago and now been married for three and a half we started out as pen pals i served 3 years and he served 8 and a half came home a year ago and now was put back in for a parole violation and will probally do the last year in I waited for 3 years for him to be home another year is nothing he is a hispanic male and all the comments and looks dont me a thing to us i never regret a single thing about him or ever becoming a part of my life

We met at work....I was working a second job as a bartender in a club, and he was one of the owners there. He also ran the security team.

It was a hip hop club, and things would get live at times. He was always so sweet to me. He would check on me when fights broke out, or wait for me at the end of the night to walk me out to my car, offer me a ride home if I didn't drive in. And he would always come and talk to me when things were slow.

We became good friends, we would just chill out, go to the movies, or the eat, and just talk and hang. I wasn't even attracted to him romantically at first, and he would never push anything, which was part of the charm. He is 10 years older than me, and sometimes I realize I wasn't use to dealing with a real man!

One night after Thanksgiving, I went back to his place afterwork and he fed me some of his mom's sweet potato pie!!! The rest is history! :D I realized that this man was one of the best friends I had, and we took it to the next level.

He is black and I'm white...I don't really get any static because of it, maybe because we are in NY. When I do it's usually black girls that hate the fact that he is with a white woman, or white dudes that will have some kind of comment to make because I date a black guy.

My parents are so cool, but they have never had any race issues, and for the most part my family is cool with it. I have a couple people that think it would be better if I was with someone white, but I don't stress it.

People can hate all they want, when I look in my man's eyes, I don't see color...and when I DO see that brown skin I MELT!!! Nothing hotter than creamy white skin against a chocolate body!!! MMMMMM!!! :heart:

Ok I dunno if I even count to answer this question, but I am in a IRR so I figured I will....
I met my guy thru a friend. We went to his house to kick it, and I just feel for him. I always have had it bad for the latin bad boys, so when I saw him I just had to have him.
He was cool with me being a mutt (german*cherokee*rican*black) which I was shocked, because his friend said he never would date any1 that was black, and being part black it tripped me out.
But I'm happy to say he changed his views on that.. WELL HE BETTER HAS ATLEAST... except sometimes I feel that he might want to be with a mexican girl..BUT that's prob just my insecurity....
It is hard tho because his parents don't speak english, but maybe ill learn spanish to talk to them, and also so we can raise our children bi-lingual.

I met my honey through one of those live telephone chat lines when I was 30 yrs old. (That was 12 years ago!) I had been through some personal hardships and really wasn't spending time with family and friends as normal. (I was hiding out in my own home.) I was very depressed and angry. I started calling the chat lines for fun. I could be as wild and crazy as I wanted to be on the phone. The calls were free for the ladies but guys had to pay to call.
One day, as I was being my wild and crazy usual self, I heard this strong male voice ask "Who's the girl laughing?" (meaning me!) His voice was so magnetic that I almost wet my pants! I told him who I was and he asked if we could talk privately. Even though I had never "gone private" with anyone on the chat before, I said yes immediately. In private, he told me that he had heard me in the chat room on several occasions before but he was really too nervous to talk to me. I asked why. He said because he is a minority (Filipino) and wasn't sure I would talk with him because of that. He was really relieved after I told him I was a minority too (black) and more importantly skin color wasn't important to me.
After many long distance phone calls and long passionate letters, I flew out to California from South Carolina to meet him and his family. He picked me up at the airport and it's been love ever since.

Mine is a rather "unique" story. I was employed with the DOC when I met my man. In all the training they give to us, this was one area that I knew I did not need training in because I knew I could never fall for a man that was imprisioned. Man was I wrong. He an I have been together for over 4 years and will be forever. Strange the situations that bring two people together. BTW, I no longer work for DOC. :)

I met my husband in college and we kept lookin at eachother for like 2 weeks and finally I told him to come talk to me or quit lookin at me and so he came over and we ended up hookin up at school. a year later I got pregnant and now we have been togather for 5 years and married on March 16,2006Yipppiiiieee!!!! I have always dated black men and yes you are right, everyone is quick to talk about how they is in a ir relationship and all the bad but you would have never started messin with him if there wasnt some good.

I met my husband because of a Letter to the Editor that I wrote. It appeared in the local paper that he gets to read in the prison. He liked what I wrote, and wrote a letter to me. I got a lot of letters due to that letter, but his really held my interest. His letter was respectful and intelligent and his writing style just caught my attention.

Of course I answered his letter and we became very good friends, and after six months of writing, I finally went to meet him. The rest is history. :-)

I met my husband through his first wife. i worked at the front desk of a hotel, she was a housekeeper. she was in the lobby to use the phone to call him. she disappeared before he got there. He came into the lobby to find her. i told him she would be right back. (she forgot her purse in the cleaning supply room.) they said that they were having a BBQ that night and said they'd call with directions. Him & I became really good friends. when he found out she was cheating on him, he divorced her. he use to always come to my house to talk & get support. one thing led to another and we started to date. we broke up for stupid reasons. when the guy that i had started to date went to prison he told me tony was in prison. i called the prison to get his inmate #. we started as friends, then i broke up with my then b/f. Tony and i got back together. we have been together since 02/2004 and married since 3/20/05. We couldn't be happier!!!

Me and my boo met in 1998. I was 14 and he was 16. We were highschool sweethearts all through highschool. We were perfect. He was a football palyer and I was the cheerleader. We never really had to deal with racial slurs or anything becuase he was a really big guys and most of our peers were scared of him. The only place we dealt with problems was within my family. My mom wasn't happy idea but she was behind me all the way. My dad was another story though. It took him about two years to come along. Just one day he came out and said " Why don't you invite him over to dinner" So i did and it was okay from then on. We were inseperatable. In 2000 he graduated high school. I didn't graduate until 2002. The summer between my junior and senior year I enlisted in the Army National Guard and went away to boot camp. While I was gone he started dealing. I came back from bootcamp in July and he got arrested in November. He didn't get locked up until January of 2002 (right in the middle of my senior year). He's been locked up ever since. I think I deal with more racial comments now then I ever did. I was scared that him going to prison was going to cause him to become prejudice but it hasn't. He comes home in 7 months and I can't wait until this is all over!

Kenny and I met 15 years ago. He was my boyfriend's best friend and my son's godfather. We were always very close and had a lot of fun together. When he went to jail 2 1/2 years ago, my son's father told me I should write Kenny because he would love to hear from me. We started writing back and forth, then talking on the phone and now are head over heels in love with each other. The racial thing is always there but with my 13 year old son being biracial, I'm used to people's ignorance and can ignore it for the most part. Kenny comes up for parole at the end of August so hopefully this nightmare will be over then. Wish us luck! :)

Me and David met at my friend's church Lock-In that I had been invited to, He was 19 (he looked like 17) and I was 15. I mentioned to my friends that he was cute, and then everybody started playing kick ball after about 20 minutes of the game I started talking to him and after the game we stayed up until 7 am when the lock in was over talking, he asked if I was coming back on Thursday which was youth night, we exchanged numbers on Thursday and we have been together ever since, I have never had a problem with racial slurs I'm white and he is Hispanic, My parents are fine with it, and everybody else seems to be fine with it too.

Me and my man met through a girl I worked with. She heard I liked black men and asked if I was interested in writing to her "brother" I said sure why not. She told me he was at the Transfer center and would give him my information the next time he called. Well he sent her a letter and a pic. I saw the pic and thought well he's not bad looking. So I wrote him back and he finally got my number on his list. The night he called I think we talked in 15 minute increments for 3 hours. It was like we had known each other forever. We kept writing and talking on the phone as I didnt have a car so I couldnt go visit him. I did get on his visting list and July 4, 2000 was our first visit because my parents were out of town and I used my dads truck. At the time he was only 10 minutes from where I lived. That is where our love began. Here it is almost 6 years later and we are still together. The day I met him my life changed forever. :)

i am now 25, and he is 27, we met when i was 15. we went to diffrent high schools but right near, one of his boys transfered to my school and was like damn my boy and you would love one another, so yeah the rest is history. he has been down for going into the 9th year. at first i could not stand his ass. funny how things happen.

We meet in a crazy way one day me and my home gurl was on this chatline just joking around and this guy came on talking about he was in jail just looking to chat me and my friend was like what da hell how is that his on the chat whatever so my friend got disconnected and I was still think about the guy who said he was in jail I asked him for a live chat so we connected and started talking he made me laugh and I thought he had a sexy voice lo0ol so then he had to go so I was a little disappointed that he had to go so he was like why dont you write to me I was like okay got the address and hung up the phone and for some reason I just couldn't get him off my mind so it took me 4 weeks before I finally wrote to him so he wrote back we was friends so about 3 months later I was not sure if he wanted to holla at me so then I got with this other guy and still stayed friends with my boo so after 3 yrs being with my ex I realized that the Love I had for my boo would never go away and that his the person I want to be with so I broke up with my ex Last Month and now I'm with the Love of My life I'm very happy................W&A

My hubby and I met YEARS ago. I was in high school and he was running the streets. We met in 1989. I was riding around looking for my b/f at the time, and Larry and some other guys were hanging out on a street corner. Every time I drove by they would holler. I was young and wild and so I stopped to chit chat. We hit it off because his friends would try to talk to me and he was blocking them all. We stayed together for awhile, but then I graduated and went on to the military and he went on with his life. Through the years we've almost crossed paths several times, but never did. Then in 2001 the man I was married to and I were getting a divorce and as fate would have it our paths crossed at the right time. We have been together since Thanksgiving of 2001. We finally have a child of our own and I wouldn't trade my hubby for anything in the world.

I ment him online but when i went too see him all of his "Brothas" were giving him crap, saying " damm a black brotha cant even get a fine sista but you can"...lol it was cute at the time. Here goes if you wanta hear it. I got sick last year with Diverticulitis, almost died. I was out of work no income and really down. Had not been with anyone in over a year and had really gave up on finding anyone that would really love me as I loved him. My neighbors which is my baby's brother and sis n law came over one night and said come to the house I have someone I want you to talk to. Well my baby was on the phone, at the time he was incarcerated at Easten Kentucky Correctional Complex. That was 9.24.05. I was living with a colostomy and hated that and life and was facing another surgery to take down the colostomy. He was such a wonderful friend. The day I came home there was a letter and a card and filled with so much love. Said how much he was thinking of me and praying things went well and couldn't wait for me to get home so he could speak with me. We kept writing and after a couple of months he wanted a relationship. He told me my search for true love was over. Well I was still in the scared to love mode didn't want to get hurt so I took my time he respected it and was patient. Shortly before I went for a visit he was really wanting more and I agreed. I wanted to meet him face to face talk with him some and then let us decide but he was so sweet, caring and loving I had to give in. I was not wrong in doing so. The love we have for each other just gets stronger. We get stared at and watched on visit because now hes at Western Kentucky Correctional Complex and we can hold hands visit in the yard smoke and move around so we have a lot of contact but I think some are just jealous of us. We have a wonderful relationship and I truly felt he was God sent. He is a gentleman and treats me like a lady "His Lady" and always lets me know how much he loves me and how much I mean to him. I could have never asked for anyone better. He was my friend first, then my "special someone" then my man. I pray God allows us to be at each others side until the end of time. :dance:I met my Baby through my sister. I was going to marry a guy who was both mentally and physically abusive towards me. My sister said that she wanted me to meet this guy because he was such a sweet heart and he was perfect for me. I kept putting it off for months and months. Then I went to visitations to see my sister's boyfriend at our county jail and I seen some guy out of the corner of my eye watching me. He came over to me and said that I was the most beautiful woman he has ever seen and had to know my name. I told him and we set there and talked until my sister came out of visitations. When she came out she kind of looked at us and then she informed us that we where supposed to meet along time ago and told us who each other was. I know it sounds bad but I went home with him that night because for the first time in years I was respected by a man. We didn't do anything but I woke up in the middle of the night and he was stairing at me. I asked him what he was doing and he said I was so beautiful he couldn't sleep. The next day I left my soon to be husband and have been with Clete ever since. :heart:

I met my husband at a small restaurant in the area we both lived at the time.He complimented my feet and swept me off of them within the next couple days as we were inseparable and have been together ever since.They say there is no such thing as love at first sight,but I had never fell so hard for someone.

Last September, my 2 sisters & myself wanted to do something nice for our brother who is locked up for a violent crime. So we took his 14 year old daughter for a visit. She hadn't seen her dad in 2 years. As we were leaving the visiting room that day, this very hot black man came up to me & asked if anyone had ever told me I had the prettiest eyes? I looked at him & said after all this time that's the best line you can come up with? Plus my sister is much prettier then me & I pointed to her. At that time, she turned around & he looked at her & then looked at me & said she ain't got nothing on you. We laughed & he kissed my hand - just like a night in shinning armour. LOL. I didn't see him again for about a month. This time when we saw each other he kept introducing me around to all he knew as his future wife. We started writing back-n-forth & his poetry is out of this world. He has touched me in a way no other man has & as they say: the rest is history. In February of this year, I walked out on a 20 year relationship & have never looked back. My marriage was over long before John came into my life. John was just the motivation I needed to do something good for myself & not stay in something that wasn't. He has a life sentence w/chance of parole in 2010 & I have no problems doing his time w/him. This is my first & only IR and it/he has taught me so much about myself & who I really am. I have not missed a Saturday or a holiday since being put on his visiting list in January.

We met in 1994. I moved in with my mother, I was a freshman in high school. We saw each other and because i was 14 and he was not happening! he wanted me and i wanted him though. We hung with the same people and we would see each other often and knew....and we finally started talking and in 1999 we got together for real. :D

We met at a party. I was coming home to go to bed for work the next day when I saw a party across the street. I went over and got a beer. I was standing next to the keg when my hubbie caught my eye. He motioned for me to come over to where he was so I did. I took him home with me that night and he never left since then. We haven't had more than 2 nights apart for the past 4 years until this. He later told me that he never talked to or dated a white girl before, there was something about me. He also told me that his friends begged him to go to that party, he didn't really want to go. It was fate, I had never went to the neighbors house before and neither had he.

Me and my man [Tim] met in a chatroom on AOL, when I was 16. He had family that lived in the same city I did. He went to school at our rival school. So we had lots to talk about. We would talk for hours and hours on the phone. I remember rushin home just to talk to him. We lost contact after a few months. Then when I was 19.... i was online and he found me in a chatroom again. Sparks flew again. Within 3 mins we were on the phone again. Talkin like we havent stopped talkin all that time. We were on the phone for what seemed like 12 hours! We decided to chill... FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! He was even more great in person then on the phone. I was in love. He was runnin from the police, because he violated probation, so I had to wait for him to call me. So a week later I wasnt surprised when I got a collect call from jail. It was him... Started writin eachother daily, talkin 3-4 times a day. Visiting once a week. Then it turned to visiting daily. And the rest is history. Before he was sentenced, we made a deal that if he was sentenced over 5 years, we would get married. Needless to say, hopefully by the end of this year Ill be his wifey. :D

I actually met my fiance through his neice. I met him in 1999 when she decided to introduce me to him. It was love at first sight...I played hard to get. We lost touch for about a year & a half and then ran into eachother. We hooked up at that point for a month or two then thing fizzled out; he got back with his ex. Next thing I heard he was locked up...1 month after he got locked up I got a phone call from him. I stood by his side for 4.5 years and still together; happy as ever! Thats called fate!

Me and my baby met last year at college it was my third and his first and i was good friends with he best friend before i met him so she introduced us and we hit clicked from there. We argued alot for a long time it was him not trusting me because my best friend was a GAY guy..lol i still laugh at that. So there was alot of distrust but i still loved him then he got arrested and i was told that he wasnt coming back so found out what jail he was in and I went to see him and told him how i really felt and he realized that i really cared for him because i was the only person who went to visit him. So ever since then we have been getting to know eachother through letters and we fell in love and I cant wait for him to come home I miss him so much and I love him so much. So i cant wait for us to finallly be together.

In 1995 I met the man of my dreams, only at that time I didn't know he was the man of my dreams. We were both envolved with someone else, but very unhappy. We started dating and I got pregnant, I felt that I would do better on my own so I moved back home to Texas. (alone) My daughter was 2 mos. old when I took a trip to Alabama so he could see her, I was told by a friend of mine that he was in prison and was going to be there for a long time. I was upset, but went on with my life. I had two other children. (little boys) Their father and I did not work out. The whole time wishing I could be with the man that I once knew, who was locked up in an Alabama State Prison. I didn't know where he was and didn't know how to find out. I looked all over the internet searching, but no luck.

In March of 2002 I came across the Alabama DOC website and went under Inmate search, and low and behold there he was. I started crying because after all these years I couldn't believe that I truely found the love of my life, but then I didn't know if that was really him.

Still hoping it was him, I wrote a letter and sent a few pictures of our daughter. I wasn't really expecting a letter back, and about a week later I recieved a letter in the mail, "it was him". I went to go see him at Elba work release. We had a very nice visit, our daughter got to see him for the first time in her life. (she was 6 yrs old) We rekindled old flames and have been going strong.

In April of 2006 He asked me to marry him. So we are waiting for the papers that we have to fill out and to do our classes with the chaplain, so we can finally became one.

Oh yeah! He also wants to adopt my two boys.

We finally received our marriage papers. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i met my man when i was 2 years old we were best friends our whole lives. We grew up down the street from eachother. We met through a job we started on the same day n had the same orientation, and training, but we stayed just friends I had never been in an interracial relationship n I had never consider it, but we became really good friends all my friends would say i have jungle fever n y do i want with some white boy. We started dating n the first obstacle was this other white women who like him n told him that she would sleep with him if he never talk to me ever again of course he turn he a** down but it still pissed me off. Second obstacle time for each other we come from completely different life styles. I was in highschool at the time n was over enovoled in all sports n school stuff he worked school n his boys. Then came my family they dont know about him and they are very strict so that also cause us to have limited time together. Then I went to college 2-3 hours away. Then came his court dates oh damn those got in the way. He had several court appearnces n I was there for my man at every one. Then he went to Jail for almost seven months n he just came home today. Today i jumped into his arms and hugged n kiss my boyfriend something I havent done in seven months. So we have had so many obstacles against us but still we make it.

We actually met through my mother about 6 years ago, they work together. I always thought he was cute but never said anything because I was in a realtionship but then I ended up working at a job that his mother worked at and I contacted him while he was in jail we then lost touch but found out they wrongfully convicted him and looked him up on an inmate locator and we got back in touch with each other and that was over a year ago. He asked me to marry him in july and now I am just waiting for everything to fall into place so we can do it. I lost alot of years not saying anything so I'm not going to lose him again.

I was picking up my kids from my friend Debra's house and I got out of my car and went inside. It was a beautiful day outside and I had to use the bathroom so Debra, her daughter, and my friend stood outside waiting for me to come back outside. While I was in the bathroom, he ran up to her doorway and asked who the lady in the red jumpsuit was and she told him I was busy so to come back in a while. I came out and they told me about a green eyed guy with long hair asking about me. I asked "well where is he then?" and no sooner did I ask when they pointed him out to me, running up to her yard. He was staring at me so hard, he forgot to walk around the fence to get to the door and fell over the fence. I laughed so hard and we became friends at first. After a few months we started dating and 8 years later we are still together, and married!

I met my fiance at a club. He had asked for my number and I told him
I dont give my number out to random ppl at the club. He says that impressed him bc i wasnt just some other chic. I told him that he would find me again if he was for real. And well.. He found me again.. took my son and I out to dinner and we have been together ever since. We are complete opposites... and sooo in Love!!!

I was introduced to him by an Ex- while they were in jail together.
My Ex gave him my number as a test- eventually, he confessed to me that he didn't think I would talk to him.
But the day before T called me up, the Ex had freaked out at me, calling me all sorts of names and making threats and being a real jerk..
and I don't know why he was so mad- the Ex and I only went out 3 times and he told me I wasn't the girl for him!!!
So it's not like we were an item, not really..

So I talked to this guy.. we hit it off on the phone,
and than I went to visit him- wanted to check him out.

I went to see him & he had a 3 month old Mini Fro goin on, and 3 months of beard happening and he was so cute-
this guy has the sweetest smile and the most beautiful big brown eyes...
I was shaking walking into the visiting deck-
there were all these guys in the pen and all these chickies hanging out - it was sooo weird- I never been there before to visit anyone, so it was terrifying for me.

Luckily he was in PC box, so we had relative privacy to talk... Plus, within 5 minutes of me getting there, the jail went into lock-down- so we were stuck with each other for over an hour...

the first thing out of his mouth was OMG You're so cute, wow.
And I said- what's that supposed to mean-
he said, well steve is sooo damn ugly- I figured you would be ugly or something but your so cute!

And we been together ever since..

We had a hard time when he got transferred-
the day he got moved my Ex started calling me and saying he wanted to talk to me, nothing serious- but I wouldn't. He gave my number to a stranger- i was hurt, so I refused his calls.
Than when the Ex got out of jail- he was mad at me for talking to him and for continuing to do so-
He came to see me, and wound up beating me up...
he dislocated my shoulder-blackened one of my eyes and hit me so hard I had a lump on the side of my head for 3 weeks... Afterwards, he blamed me saying I wanted him to be violent- loser.

this guy has done 8 years for manslaughter- so I was plenty scared-
that night T called me and I was crying and couldn't speak at first and finally an hour later he dragged it out of me-he begged me to go to the cops- but no way was I gonna do that- i was that frigging scared.
but my guy lodged a complaint for me..
You wouldn't think he would do that, being in jail and all- and he did- for me, he wanted me to be safe.

I dunno, we just click- you know?
We see eye to eye on alot of stuff, have alot in common and we ahve alot of the same goals...

We had mutual friends but for some reason only heard of one another never met... then one day he approached me and got my number gave me his real name not street name... next thing you know a mutual friend was like you know -insert street name-.. I was surprised cuz he had a bad rep for being a "bad ass"... anyway, he didn't know my real name just my rep "Mouthy" and my nickname... once we put two and two together it was all good. Smart mouthed female with her bad ass man.

Transferred to the same jail the same week. We wouldn't have met otherwise, so maybe It was a blessing in disguise that I came there, met stone, supervision pissed me off, and I cursed them whores out, then quit. Afterward a gay inmate got hold of my number from a friend, he called me. Stone walked past overhearing the convo, and snatched the phone out of they gay 'chick's hands, we've talked everyday since.

Weird, I would have never met stone if I didn't leave my original jail for that hellhole. But then again I'd still have a 40 thousand dollar a year job as well. Hmmmmm

I do miss seeing him everyday though. :(

I was supose to work for him. so, turnes out that all day while he is telling what Im supose to do ect I couldnt help but notice how sexy he was... couldnt concentrare to work! I guess he felt the same way about me too.... the same day we went on a dinner, he took me home.. that was beginning.....
we were so much different, never tought we would make it more than 4 weeks, if that!! I guess we are the perfact example of 'opposite attracks'!
and the more we are learning about each other, well, better and better we are getting a long.... our 2yr anniversary is coming up... wow... its amazing how much had happened since we met....

I met my fiance through his cousin who is engaged to my sister. He was living with his cousin but I had not met him because he is a pretty private guy. He doesn't go to clubs or "hang out with the guys". He would rather stay home and watch a movie or go fishing or work out. My sister lived with me and her fiance was always at my house. One day they had other cousins in town from Detroit and my sister asked if they could all come over to play cards. They were actually trying to hook a younger cousin up with my daughter. hahahaha Anyway, my man came over with them and he kept smiling at me and talking to me. I blew him off at first because I am 8 years older than him AND I knew he was facing charges of possession of pot with intent to distribute. I was not interested. After that night he started coming over with his cousin and I saw him all the time. It took about a month for his charm and smile to win me over. He is very quiet, but with me, when we were alone he would really open up. He never put on pretenses though, I think because he knew I already knew the worst about him. Nothing annoys me more than a guy acting fake to try to impress me. Anyway, he started staying over and just never really left. :) That is until his sentence. He has 10 years, but should be out in 2 or 3. He is worth the wait.

it was fat tuesday and instead of me n my friends going to the club we went to walmart (due to it being a tuesday had to wake up earky for work) and when me n one of my friends walked in we went right by the door to check out discounts and in walks this beautiful black muscular man lookin all good :) *blushing* so i basically followed him around until he seen me and i gave him the look and he waited for me to walk outside and he approached me and asked for a cigarette and he asked how old i was and asked for id and i showed him and we hit it off and he gave me his number and i hung out with him that night and talked for hours and it was love ever since! :))))) makes me so giddy thinking about it!:p

I met my friend online, we talked on phone for about 8 months, when we planned for him to move to canada he got arrested,, Now he is serving 45yrs of prison.. I don't know where this relationship will lead us... I miss him very much ,I care for him alot but I'm scared that time will keeps us apart :(

honestly...myspace! We told my parents and a couple of people it was thru mutual friends, but yeah good ole' myspace! He found me, and starting messaging me, I usually ignore them, but I thought he was cute, and his first letter to me wasn't the typical "Hey ur hot, can we go out sometime" It was actually about me playing rugby. I used to play in college, and recently picked up a club team out here and was going to play that weekend. It was posted on my profile and he saw it. He asked if he could come watch sometime, and I said ok, but then backed out of the deal because I got nervous! He then asked me to a movie, and I said ok, to which we saw Devil Wears Prada lol.

After that we were friends for 6 months, not even great friends, just kept in touch now and again. Thought he was nice but a player (he so was!) He asked me out again in Dec 06, and I went to another movie with him (Happy Feet this time!) and something just clicked. I went home to visit family for Xmas, but thought of him the whole time. When I returned he asked me out, and I said yes. He then called all the other girls he had been talking to, seeing, whatever and said that he was now off the market for good! I thought that was so sweet, and he has been nothing but amazing since! Life may not have always been smooth sailing for us in the past year and a half, but in my heart I know he's the one for me!

We met through a phone chat line. My best friend and I use to get on there when we were bored and make fun of people. It was a blast. But this guy I didnt want to talk shyt to there was something in his voice. So we exchanged numbers, I bet we talked on the phone 3 weeks before I got up enough courage to meet him in person. I was really scared he wouldnt like me because Im fat. I looked at him and fell in love...ssshhh dont tell him that he dont know that. I was married at the time but I wanted a divorce but I didnt have the money for it. So I told him if she stuck by me as a friend for the next year we could be together. So Im finally going through a divorce and when I called to tell him that I was all his I found out he was locked up. So now I sit and wait and go to all his court dates and my visitations and write letters. We've never had a real chance at being together on the outside. Im so happy that Im with him now even though he's in jail I know that Im the one that gets to pick him up in a couple months and he will be coming home to live with me.

Aww, I think these stories are so cute! He lived in the first phase of my neighborhood so we always rode the school bus together. He'd always be the last one on the bus and if someone was sitting with me in the school bus seat then he would make them move [so that he could sit with me]. He's very cocky at times because he has much reason to be but before we got together he would look at the person in the seat with me and say "excuse me but i think she wants to sit with her bf so move please" and i would always just laugh it off. So we've been together since high school (4.5 years)...

I had asked a friend to give me a name of a serial killer to write to (yeah, I'm a bit morbid...I've always been fascinated by their psychology; what makes them tick, ya know) 'cuz he wrote to a bunch, and I wanted someone that would be fairly open and honest. So, he gave me Daniel's name and addy and I wrote him. I wrote Daniel for well over a year before he started encouraging me to write his son Damian, who was alos incarcerated. I procrastinated doing so, but finally I did the end of May 07...but the letter got returned to me 'cuz apparently he got transferred. Meanwhile, I continued writing Daniel, and put off writing Damian again for a few more months. Daniel was diagnosed with cancer in July and had an execution date set for 25 Oct 07, and so I finally wrote Damian again in the beginning of Oct...I wanted to establish a connection before his father was to be executed (he ended up with a stay 'cuz of the cancer). Damian and I have been writing ever sinc. I truly love him and am so thankful that his father kept suggesting I write him.

Ok, here's the story - I was supposed to go out with this guy Amir (we were 16 in 1986) and I had one of my girlfriends with me cuz you know - if you not sure you were gonna like the dude you took 1 of your girls with you so you have backup. LOL Well we were driving around looking for something to do and he saw his friend Jason and was like whassup man, hang out with us - he was trying to take care of my friend so she'd leave me and him alone. LOL Wellll little did he know it was about to be the last time Amir would ever see me. As soon as I set eyes on Jay there was this CRAZY strike of electricity that has no words for it. I was in the front seat, he was in the back and I could see him in the rear view mirror. When we dropped him off, he slipped me his number and we hooked up after that. It was truely love. However of course, every love story has it's ups and downs and I moved back to VA that year and he opted not to come with me. It's been a struggle for him until we hooked back up some 13 years later but I never stopped loving him. God is so good to us and has brought us back together for eternity!

I met my man in prison. I worked in there, and I was his supervisor. We just became close and trusted each other. After I quit we kept in touch. We have become so close just writing and visiting. I love him. he loves me. He is very nice looking and has a great personality. He could really have any female he wanted. But he wants me . He will be out Dec 25 th this year. He is comming home to me. He has given up all his past for me. And I beleive him. I trust him with my life. He is black and I am white.

well, my story almost sounds unbelievable, but its true. my very abusive ex-husband was his cellie. he was always sayin he was gonna kill me when he got out. so marc got my address off one of the envelopes i sent my ex and warned me and thats all he would of done but i wrote back asking questions about him, i was so lonely and sad i just wanted a penpal to vent to. and after some months we really fell hard for each other and here it is almost 3 yrs later. its been very hard, definitely not a bed of roses, because i had severe trust issues with men and he has alot of hurt and anger built up inside him because of his very abusive childhood but we are both getting help and we will make it because we both met at the lowest point of our lives and we love and appreciate each other so much i know beyond a shadow of a doubt we would never abandon each other. he is truly my soulmate and vice-versa. he always told me i gave him hope when he didn't have any.God truly does work in mysterious ways and he can and does bring good out of evil!!!!!

One of my friends a few years back, Darron, he always talked about this dude Marquice he hated because Marquice had messed with his girl and he talked about him so much that I was kinda intrigued. One day Marquice sent me a message saying hey and I started talking to him off and on a little and then we decided to meet up and from the moment we did we were inseparable. He wasn't the horrible guy Darron talked about...he was amazing :)

It was March of 1999 and I had recently ended a 8 year relationship and moved on my own. I was at a car wash in Houston where I had lived for the last 3 years. I walked into the carwash lobby area where there was a hamburger joint inside of along with a shoe shine and barbershop, he asked me could he buy me a hamburger? I chuckled and said no thank you. I wasn't really attracted to him at all so I sort of blew him off and made my way to the register where I met up with him again and he then asked me if he could call me sometime, I said sure and then paid for my carwash. I went outside to sit and wait on my car to be washed and he once again came by and asked for my number I said sure if you can remember it because neither one of us had pens or cell phones at that time so I called out my number and he said ok he would give me a call. I never thought about him till the following day when he called!! OMG I was like how the heck did this guy remember my number it was crazy. He came to visit me before work that following week then the rest is history. We had never spent a night away from each other since until this happened.

Blind date in 2003.....set up by a mutual friend.....The rest is history......

i was shopping at the goodwill with my sister it was a hot summer day we had been at the beach had been talking and laughing all day it was a good day i saw a cashier that i once knew -oh so fine- and waved hello and then there he was -bouncing out of the back to joke with him (rufie) and check out all the women in the store i really only noticed his laugh and bounce at first it sounded so genuine and was a "catching" laugh he was a flirt and a charmer and was speaking spanish to some latin ladies right by me in the store and i laughed and he winked at me and i thought he was ridiculous i checked out with rufie and gave him my phone number and when we were leaving he popped his head out the back door to say oh yea well be callin you 4 sure and laughed again in his big way i still only really thought about rufie that night i went to their house( turns out rufie is his cousin )I was only interested in drinking,"smoking",and having a "good" time at that point in my life having become seperated recently and in a bad mental place but that night with him changed us 4ever we filled up each others dark places with light we healed the bad hurts we completed each other in spite of our huge age difference,background and upbringing differences and very different points of view on life we just fit together so well in a way i never thought possible and always kind of thought of as "pukey" it was crazy ......(tbc)

Well let me tell you, it started raining SBM!!!!!!

And then I got an email from Dana. I was immediiatly attracted to the fact that he was articulate, funny and asked the question, "Do you like yourself? Because if you don't like and love yourself, you can't really love anyone else." Hmmmmm....I was TOTALLY intrigued!

We exchanged a few more emails, talked on the phone (still funny, warm and very easy to talk to, with a great laugh...) and then met in person.

WOW. Do you believe in "love at first sight?" Well, I can assure you, IT HAPPENS!!!!

He was open and honest with me at that very first meeting about his history, and the fact that he was on parole. I could have turned and run then, but I didn't. I was already falling head-over-heels for this man...and so I took the risk, and I have NO REGRETS!

When his viscious "ex" found out about us, she called his PO, told a few lies, and landed my beloved back in prison.

But thank God, LOVE IS STRONGER than a LOT of things, including fear, time, distance and prison!!!

I met my booboo because my uncle is married to his sister. I started liking him when I was 16 and he was 25. He was way too old for me and wouldn't deal with me in a relationship type of way. When I turned 18 he would make slick remarks and try to get me to stand there and talk to him instead of sayin Hay Ronnie... Bye Ronnie... I ignored him because I had a man but I still loved Ronnie. Anyways long story short... He went to jail I broke up with my man I met his brother dated him and broke up with him (was with him for a year left him because he was a crackhead that use to beat on me alot) As soon as I seen Ronald, there was no turning back. We seen each other we spent the day together oneday. He left. Called me that night. Than called me everyday about 8 times a day LOL. Always came to see me than we got together. Sometimes I regreat being with him because I use to date his half brother, i refer to myself as a wh*re when I talk to him about it, but whore upsets him and he demands I dont call myself that because I am not a wh*re. LOL Anyways now I got him n he got me and we are in love and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with my love.

I met my baby at my EX'S MOTHER'S HOUSE.. They kept calling for me to come over , I did, his young dude, tatted up and a mouth full of gold teeth wouldnt leave me alone.. the rest is history..

Me & him met in high school we had math class together everyday 1st thing in the morning. i was really bad in math so i sat infront n pay attentioned but he was those kids who start trouble in class n makes the entire class stop jus so the teacher can deal with that one student. well dat was him always makin trouble. Well i turned around one day to look who was makin all the noise n i jus stood starin at him n den he looked at me i felt so embarrsed i quickly faced foward again. One day i was late to class so all the good seats infront by the board were taken forcing me to go sit in the back with all the other kids who dont do there work n the only avaiable seat was next to him. we never spoke for a long time really we never knew eachother's name but we'd always say hi to eachother this was in sept 07 we finally spoke to eachother in summer school in july -_- we always knew we liked eachother but we were both in a realtionships that were ending so in july when they were about done we spoke n ever since then ive always been by his side as a friend untill october 2008 till I finally told him I loved him cuz he wasnt gonna say it so someone had to lol since then my life has been complete He's the guy i wanna marry & have kids with & live with 4 the rest of my life.

We ment through some friends while he was locked up he started wrightin me and i was like who the hell is this guy (lol) i wrote him back one time then he wouldnt leave me alone. come 2 find out it was a good thing he didnt cause now he's the love of my life. My husband and i met thru his sister....we worked together and she introduced him to me in Dec 04... We lived together for 2 years before he was arrested in 11/06. We have been together ever since and just recently got married.
