Hi my husband is finally getting out of SVSP.:D He is leaving this week for Mule Creek. Does anyone know about the visiting there? Do you have to get there early or what goes on? Thanks, JE:)

The visits are 8:30am-3:00pm Sat & Sun and major holidays that they list. You should get there at 8 am to stand in line in front of the processing room coz it gets crowded real fast. That way when they open the door at 8:30 you will be one of the first there and will be processed faster.

I have gone early and later, around noon. The wait is about the same... The first time you go they will try to let you stay the whole time. After that the visits last about 2-3 hours... the first to get there are the first to leave. The staff for the most part are nice... vending machine and in building A they have a vendor that has some fresh food. No denim.....havent tried wearing black jeans....not worth going back to your car to change. No gray sweat shirts. The metal detector is very senitive..... no underwires... I have worn one that has very small round rings on the straps that set it off.... they will let you try to hold the straps in your hands to get through....not to easy if they are on the back. I just wear a sports bra now... I live close by, where will you be coming from?
