Can the inmates receive packages? My friends birthday is coming up as well as christmas and I would like to send him something to brighten his day.

san quentin guys can get packages, they have to send you a slip which you attact to the box you mail to him.hope it helps

They can receive books and cd's through barnesandnoble.com
I have a friend on DR at san quentin and I have sent him things and he has received them. Hope this helps.

ou cant do much by way of a surprise I'm afraid, just be aware too that they can only receive a limited number of packages and only then through an offical vender.If you send a poackage without his knowledge then you risk blocking a package he has ordered. books are the best option but paper backs only, they get fussy about hard backed books.
