He is still in the city jail and just got moved today at doc. which however long he will have to stay there I dont no, he said he is hoping to go to hagerstown I'm not sure if any of it is any good. I heard that they are moving hundreds of inmates out of the dorms at RCI and opening a new wing at WCI. Is this true? Is this related to the beatings and recent deaths at RCI?

I'm new on here actally found it at work searching thhe web for prison non related stuff. He has been in for only a couple months so he just started he is in RCI in Hsgerstown MD. I been goin up there at least every other weekend i used to drive but they hqave commuter services that takes off ther wear on my car. I dont know to much bout the system so any advise can help. I do have a friend in WCI and that is so far out there I road on a van service out there and why they put people out so far is ridiclous i feel for the love ones that have to travel out there....
everything is good with us and i help get his initial package but from what i figure he has to order everything now. is there things we can send.
the only down fall is his family is really nice but they seem to try and discourage me from seeing him because he do have a long time to do but i do have a life out here and he remains part of my life. His mom just dont know me well and i think she is just looking at the long run thinking i will eventually leave. I try to make my point if i was goin to leave i wouldve long time ago is anyone else goint threw thesame thing...

also, t-netix i think its called the put a block on my phone but it was cleared yesturday but he doesnt know it yet so hopefully i get calls soon...but i reading other post i read about prison online phone service do anyone in baltimore have that and is it legit.

i used to live in texas myself cumberland is really to me in no mans land out in the midde of no where.....there is dc hagerstown and baltimore that is atleast an hour half away look up those areas if you are looking for descent jobs...frederick md is also ok...

hello, my boyfriend is in ECI and he has been in for 3yrs. I miss him so much. But I believe this time has given him long enough to think. this is the first time he has been in this long. Well I am actually on here to see if anyone else thats from the Dc area has a loved on in ECI, because out of the three yrs I have only seen him twice:( . I don't have a car and no one to really take there. So maybe if there is anyone here that would like the company for that 2 1/2 hour ride you could let me know. Sorry I took so long. I've been very busy. My husband is in the house. I wonder why the Annex have so many good opportunities when it come to Family Day Functions ? ? ? The house family days suck as far as the food list and because the Annex is allowed to hold their functions outside during the summer. I also believe the Annex receives 3 a year and the house only receive 2. But I do be happy to be at the functions.

That's nice to know even though your man is home, you still care. Thanks but we are good. Just had a Family Day and it was AWESOME. :p

The ride is only 25 minutes for me. Sometimes 30. I go every Sunday for the past 4 1/2 years so it's so normal.

Family days?!?...what?!? Your husband must be minimum security or something right? My husband has been at MCI-H for a little over a year now and they have never, never had anything like that. I wish they did, it sounds nice.

Hey all, mine is also at Roxbury. Visits are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. For Saturday and Sunday, you can visit on either the odd day or even day (depending on his DOC#) for one hour. On Fridays and Mondays, any DOC# visits for two hours. You are allowed two visits on two separate days from Friday to Monday. The visit is in an open room with a half wall dividing inmates from visitors. You are allowed a hello and goodbye kiss and hug. No holding hands. Make sure you don't wear metal that sets off the metal detecter, and yes even an underwire bra will set it off. You have to take off your shoes, belts, etc. before going through the metal detector. There are lockers and you get a coin to lock up your purse. Of course, your picture id w/address must match the one he gives to the prison for all visitors I think over 16. That pretty much sums it up!

The visits at RCI is Friday-Monday. Sometimes, they have special visits for holidays and stuff. But the most important thing is, make sure the visiting has gone thru. It takes awhile. Just don't want to see people drive all the way out there and not be on the list.

Sorry, I never really introduced myself to everyone. I work at RCI as a correctional officer. I also have family and friends all over the state of MD as inmates. So, I'm willing to help out and answer some questions.

My hubby is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center. I expect him to reside here until he is sentenced sometime next year. It's a newer facility and very clean, but it takes me almost three hours to get there. In addition, his visiting days are Fridays when I work. Therefore, I have only been able to visit him one Saturday per month as he is allowed one special Saturday visit per month.

My son i sthere, do you know why they have been in lock down for the past two weeks? I've called on several occassions and have been told to call again on Friday November 28, 2008.

My sweetie is at the Calvert County Detention Center in Barstow MD. They just gave him work release so he got moved to B dorm. Hope he can sneak away and see me! Two times a week really sucks!

I'm also trying to get some info on MCTC, One person posted their man was there for 3 years. I just want to know how long people usually stay there and if there is a lot of drama. My man just got sent up to the Hill I'm waiting for his status to change to pre-release or work release I'm not sure if its the same thing. How many different buildings do they have isn't the Hill different or is it the same facility. Any info is appreciated

I do not have a vehicle and can only go up 1x a month with his Mom. We get along wonderfully BUT it would be soo nice to have a visit where it is just him and I. Ya know? Its been very hard because I love him and now we cant even be together . But he is due home any day now , so now, Im just waiting

Hello, my man is awaiting transfer to Jessup. I guess the JCI? He said not the pre-release unit. Can you tell me about your mans experience at JCI? I heard alot of bad stories about JCI and how violent it is there. I am worried sick for him now...
