View Full Version : Has your Post Count changed? Counters re-indexed

In case some of you notice a slightly different post count than you had a day or two ago, it is because I completely re-indexed all the counters and the search index on the site last night. I did this because I combined a few forums and deleted a few categories such as War & Related (moved the posts into the Lounge) and after a while they need to be re-calibrated. In addition, the site search engine must re-index all 150,000 + posts and will be more accurate because of the re-indexing.

If your post count has gone down it is most likely due to deleted threads that you made a post in. Prior to re-indexing the counters, it did not reflect any deletions that have been made. Now it does.

Just thought I would explain this so nobody would be confused if their posts counter decreased.
