I was in this jail for over 2 months in Federal Custody.. This is quite possibly the worst jail I have been in concerning gross neglect of inmates, medical issues and now obviously money..

CONROE - The district attorney's investigation into money possibly stolen from the Montgomery County Jail inmates' account widened Monday to include a probe into missing inmate jewelry and drugs allegedly missing from the jail infirmary.
The new mandate to District Attorney Mike McDougal came from Commissioners Court, which, beyond a possible black eye for the county, is worried that it would be liable for any missing money and valuables.
Commissioner Ed Chance said jail deputies have told commissioners about the unexplained loss of a "good quantity" of drugs, including narcotics, from the jail pharmacy.
McDougal's investigation is expected to answer such questions as whether, as Commissioner Ed Rinehart speculated, the missing drugs might simply be outdated prescriptions thrown away without proper accounting.
Commissioners also learned that former inmate Socrates Gonzales Lopez has filed a claim that nine pieces of jewelry worth $7,200 were not returned to him when he was transferred to the Texas Department of Corrections.
County attorney's investigator Robert Rosenquist said the jewelry was discovered missing about a year ago. A jail officer has acknowledged loss of the jewelry and requested documentation of its cost.
Deputies said jail policy called for placing Lopez's jewelry in a paper bag bearing his inmate number and for storing it in a locked section of the jail .
County Judge Alan Sadler said the complaint came through the jail officer rather than the departmental chain of command under Sheriff Guy Williams.
Commissioners had already asked McDougal to investigate the loss of nearly $50,000 from the jail inmate trust account, which holds money confiscated from prisoners upon booking into the jail .
In addition, a county audit turned up discrepancies in the inmate commissary account, tapped by inmates to buy personal items.
