Does anyone know if thereare any programs that my boyfriend csan take advantage of to help him get out early? He has a 2nd degree manslaughter charge with a DWI and vehicular assault because a drinking and driving accident last thanksgiving morning. He was in recovery at 2 different programs for alcoholism for the 8 months he was released on bail and recieved a stack of reccomendation letters from members of his groups about as thick as the New York Times newspaper. He is currently serving a 2-6. I am grateful that he recieved a lenient sentence, but he changed his life so much when he was home it was almsot futile to send him back in after his release with bail. Is there any hope of doing less than the min if he gets into a program in jail? And if so which programs can help to make that possible given the nature of his crime and the sentence? I would love it if he came home as soon as possible.
