Okay.., so I'm bloodhounding the BOP for their hospice policies--haven't found 'em yet..) but I happened upon two things.. one a nifty sitemap of facilities..--and another population breakdown (issued this week by institution) there are 219 people listed as 'other' on it.. I'm thinking they are farmed out to somewhere interesting.. I continue to search.
In the meantime I share this one... (probably belongs in Fed or the orphan Activism I am mod for.--but I think it'll get more play here. So here it is.

omg! This says loved ones of inmates can contact them and be a part of the acredidation by JCAHO by giving their input as to treatment rendered. Wow! Good for those at Federal facilities. Have you found anything for state prisons yet life?

Interesting--No FMC's on the list--they are the Medical Centers.

Deb,,..
I wasn't on the hunt for states at the time...
My next mission maybe?
I found this by accident.. Thought I'd share because it is a perpetual calendar and maybe the Mod powers that be can shout the ad***ces on each facility in turn if for folks to move in time to participate...

Molly,..The FMC's aren't here because of the "Ambulatory" Health Care Acceditation being the point of this one...

I'll be diddling around a bit more over the FMC's no doubt in pursuit of hospice treatment/programs/training..--my original mission when I got sidetracked..

Of course, bright lights have been known to distract me.

I hope some fed family members get the word about this before their loved one's institution gets 'surveyed'...

Hello,

I am still new at all of this, but my brother needs medical attention and they will not give him what he needs. Is there a complaint, or something that I can do for him. He needs to have surgery, but they will not give it to him. I feel that he will die if I just sit back and watch. He is in the Daniel unit in Snyder, Texas. He rescently got jumped this pass week by eight different inmates. They jumped him in his cell and beat the crap out of him, just because they wanted some of his stuff in his cell. That too bothers me. Now they are probably going to ship him even futher from me. What am I to do. I feel like my hands are tied and they keep on neglecting him. I would appreciate anyone who is willing to help me. Oh and yes I have talked to my local governor before. That is why they shipped Russell so far away from us.
