My boyfriend got transfered to CCC Susanville last Wednesday. Does anyone have information on visitation and when I should expect his first call. :confused:

You got lucky, it's a really decent place! VERY few lockdowns, and the most casual visiting room I've ever seen. He should call you in just a few more days, I think it took 10 for my brother. They didn't assign seating, people were up wandering around, more than one inmate at a table. The only things I can thing of that are special are NO hooded clothing, no sleeveless tops, and they are really fussy about skin. I've seen them have people reach over their head and bend over, just to check length.

were You Already Approved At Nksp? If Not He Has To Send Another Visiting Form To You And Then You Have To Wait For An Approval From The Prison. Its A Blue Form And You Can't Get In Without It. I Went In July To Ccc And Was Not Allowed In Because I Did Not Have The Form And I Traveled All The Way From Riverside.

My fiance is in CCC. He was at NKSP also but transfered to CCC in April 2005. I just visited him this weekend Oct 8 & 9. I heard that in November it will be snowing on the way over there if you are planning on driving. And everyone i spoke to said they aren't driving up there because of the weather conditions are areally bad. I flew there a few times but it costs alot because you'll need to rent a car once you arrive in Reno airport. I have met a few people when i visited up there and we have exchanged numbers so we can rideshare and split expenses so we can save money. We also live in the Los Angeles area also.

:cry: My fiance is also at CCC. I have not made the trip to visit him yet, but am anxiously waiting for that day! I have not even heard his voice since the end of April 2005. I was approved for visits while he was at NKSP. If any of you ladies are planning a trip up there to visit and you want to split costs, need help driving, or just want some company PLEASE! get at me. I was there this weekend and spoke with the CO's about the weather, they said it could start to snow as soon as the end of October. So when planning your trip plan very carefully. Call the road conditions hotline to make sure your passage of choice is clear, and have chains just in case. If he's in lassen yard, visitation is a little more laid back than it is in the main. Call to make sure that there hasn't been a lockdown where he is. This last weekend some of them were on lockdown because of a riot between the northern and southern hispanics. I think they were the only ones on lockdown because there were still people visiting at both lassen and main. The weather there is very chilly most of the time, and they get kind of technical about the way you dress, so be careful. If in doubt, take extra clothes just in case, otherwise you have to borrow from the friends outside trailer. If you have any questions, call them they are usually very helpful, they will even tell you how the weather is if need be. Good Luck!
