I am going on my first visit to CCC Susanville this Sunday. What am I suppossed to bring (food?, money?,jacket?) Am I suppossed 2 call before I go? What time should I get there?

Call before you go, just to be sure your man isn't on lockdown. It doesn't happen much there, but it does sometimes. Don't bring much. You can have $30 for each adult, in quarters and one dollar bills, in a ziplock bag or clear plastic make up bag.
You can't have a jacket (or anything else) with a hood. Wear as little jewelry as you can stand, that way you won't have a problem with "too much". I used to just waer my wedding rings. Believe me, the guys don't even notice OUTSIDE, they sure don't notice in there! I used to go about 10 am, but 9 would be better. Too early and you run the risk of having your visit terminated if the room gets too full, too much later and you'll have to wait until after the count clears, which can take forever! Check in at the trailer in the parking lot for a number and they'll tell you when to go over to processing.
