My man just got designated to Hazelton USP (in Bruceton Mills, WV). We don't know when the transfer will take place but we're hoping it's soon, since it's only 5 hours from my house, opposed to the 17 hours he is from me now.

Anyway, does anyone have loved ones at Hazelton? I'd like to find out as much about it as I can.

Angie - Is your hub at Leavenworth now? Mine is and just got designated to Hazelton today also, Leavenworth was closer (only 6 hours) now he'll be 17 hours away. We switched shoes didn't we? Let me know what you find out, I've posted a similar thread but haven't gotten any response.

Does Hazelton seem to be taking in guys? My honey was told that he will be transferring soon, but we havent got a clue where he will be going to. His family are in Alabama, so im hoping that it will be somewhere south or at least easterly!

My friend is in The SPC at Hazelton, and says its not bad at all there. He likes it alot more then other places he has been too. He says the food isnt great, but hes a little picky anyways. He seems to be happy all the time, and he keeps busy, so for a Fed Prison, I would have to say its a better one.
