I Heard That Conditions At Wci Are Just As Bad As The Max Can Anyone Shed Some Light About This?

My husband has been at WCI for 7 yrs. No Prison is fun for say but, the only thing I can really complain about is, WCI is loaded with drugs all the time.
They also don't have much for programs but, none of the MD Prisons really do.
WCI has good rec times and lots of phone time for the Inmates.
They have a few real idiots for CO's but, basically most are ok.
Visits aren't bad either except for the wall in between you.
That is the cleanest Prison I have ever been to and I have seen many.
The only thing my husband ever really complains about is the food. It sucks.
They have good tv up there.

I don't know about that, but my brother is in a USP, and he says it's not so bad. So I would think even if WCI is as bad as max that may not be so bad. Just a thought, Atalie

my bf has been transfered all over the state,and his biggest complaint now is the number of gangs up here are just as bad as downstate.and he said wci has the worst food possible.the guards are extremely uptight at visits.

Speaking of visits at WCI. I haven't seen any problems til this past Sunday at WCI.
Most of the time when I have went, I don't have any problems. This past Sunday they had NEW C.O's in the visiting room and we had pictures taken. The COP working the visiting room was one of those that, has to abuse his authority.

My husband almost lost it on one of them cause he got smart with my 6 yr old daughter for running up to her step Dad and hugging him.
This is a 6 yr old kid for god sake who loves her step-dad. All she wanted was to play with him and the cop didn't like it a bit.
She does this all the time and she was really upset that this CO got smart with her Dad.
None of the other Cops ever say a word and they play ALL the time.
I had to stop my husband from cussing him out.
" I'm just doing my job". Says the cop.
I made the comment, " There's a difference in doing your job and being a total ass."
This CO was cutting everyone's visits at an hour exactly also.
They never do that.

the last time I went for a visit {last weekend,}they also cut our visit at exactly an hour.i know they will do that when there are a large number of people waiting,but the room was only maybe half full..
