Its a pity that other people dont see our guys the way we do, people who only see the act and not the man are missing out on so much.

I am proud of Ray for finally facing his demons and for wanting so badly to do it clean from now on. I'm proud of him being able to get on with most people when everyone else around him seems to be squabbling and fighting. I'm proud of him for being determined to stay in touch with his sons despite their apathy and lack of encouragement from their mum. And I'm most proud of him for realising that being honest and open might be hard sometimes but the worst truth is never as bad as a lie.

I just love him :)

I am proud of my Vin, he gave a presentation to the guys where he's at about characteristics of a criminal, pitfalls, drug use, etc. He siad most presentations last 15 minutes, they listened to my sweet man for over 2 hours and he had everyone participating.

I love tht man!

I am very proud of Josh, and I don't really care what anyone else thinks... I know that he made mistakes, obviously or he would not be where he is. However, rather then live in prison and continue with his past ways, he takes classes to better himself, OBTAINED HIS ged, he stays away from those who cause trouble, and he pretty much stays to himself, other then a few select people.
Although I hate being away from him, and I think his sentence is too long for the crime, I think it actually saved his life. Had he not been locked up, he would of probably died from drugs, or street life. He has grown up, become a man, does all he can to keep the bonds between himself and the kids as strong as possible.
I like, no I love the man that he has become. he is ambitious and sweet , and thoughtful. He has goals, and is doing everything that he can do from inside, to ensure that he will be a person who is an asset to this community, have his business thrive, and be a good parent.
I am proud of him, who he is, everything about him. People do judge, but these are people that are looking at the crime, instead of the PERSON who commited a crime. I don't condone the crime, but I will love this man unconditionally, always and forever!

I am so proud of my man as well,I don't think I could ever be as proud of him as I am now.Hes been so good this whole time.Without ever getting into a fight. I love him so much theirs no other man i have ever loved more. Congratulations and what a merry christmas you both will have. With your man coming home it's me. I think it's the other way around -- it's a pity that we don't see our guys the way other people do because what they see during our bidding is what we see once he comes home. Most of the "when he come home" stories are sad, ultimately winding up in the "when the relationship is over" forum once that "best friend, soulmate" gets released. The real pity is EVERYONE seems to see what our guys are, EXCEPT US.

But, :o I am proud of my husband. :o He's not a violent offender, however, because of the "what appears to be a firearm/weapon" thing, on paper he is. Nevertheless, I am very proud of him.

He's been home a few times already and darnit each time he came home, like many of the other releasees, he proved EVERYONE right and me wrong. So of course that "makes me stupid" for still being with him. But I don't see it that way. I see it as I love him and I believe in him and I know because he's a tuff customer, that it's just a lil tuff for us to get on the same track in society that we are on when he's inside. When he's inside, he's virtually perfect. I honest to goodness believe that when he come home this time, that he will finally PROVE ME RIGHT!! :o And gosh, I'll be EXTRA proud of him then. :o

First of all I wanted to share the Im sure familar "hated" advise I would get when I first started realizing how I felt about Tommy. When asked by close friends of mine what hes done to get 18 to life I didn't hesitate. I told them. Im no way proud of what hes done but I'm proud of what hes become while incarcerated. Why shouldn't I be? I love this man and I know hes taking responsibility for what had happened. Given he doesn't have much choise tho on paying back his debt to society this way I guess he could always be in this state of denial like some are that I've heard of. He knows what he did and he knows the price hes paying for it. I remind him that hes not an animal but yet still a human with feelings and still a "great" heart unlike what others always tend to say and or think. I really think that some couldn't be in my shoes and that is fine......that is why they are not and I am ;]

I love my baby and I am very proud of him. A lot of people only see the bad in him. I have always knew that he have a lot of potential. Now since he is focused on his poetry he sees it to. Two of his poems has already been copy written. I am so proud of JOKER.

It is so great to hear how proud you all are of your love.. I too am proud of mine. He was already becoming a changed man and in fact had been changed over a year....no drinking, no drugging. We learned better ways to handle our anger....Even given all that he chose to willingly go in to get this finally over once and for all. I could not be more proud and in every letter I send I tell him what an awsemoe husband and father he is. Never miss a chance to tell your love just how proud you are of him and how great he is too you. The more you build someone up the more encouragement they have to continue to always strive to improve. That's really all we can all do is continue each day to make forward progress. I think this site is awesome. Thanks too all of who who post. You are all truly great people who truly uplift people each day. My prayers will be with you.

That is all so true because it seems as though every since I told Joker that he is really good at his poetry he has started to focus more on that and being a better father to the kids.
