:D Hi,
I have a few questions about Beaumont FPC, so here goes:
Is it currently overcrowded?
How hard is it to get a job there?
How is the library?
Are there any exercise facilities, running track?
Most importantly, do they have any musical instruments, specifically a guitar?
Are there any college courses offered? Is it difficult to find a proctor for correspondence courses?
How does he arrange to have his current correspondence materials sent to the camp?
Thanks! :D

I can tell you that you don't want to be there right now.. ;) No power, no water, no visits.. Miserable conditions after hurricane Rita hit near by..
As for the rest of your questions, I've been out of circulation for a while but when I was at the medium next door you could check out guitars..
You don't want to take the courses from Lamar University if they still offer them unless you just want to spend the money and have no curriculum plan. They only offered completely random classes in the past.
The rest I will pass to someone else that might have been there recently. It is a no frills prison.. If you want someplace nicer you should look at Bastrop or Latuna..

They are currently showing the population for the Camp in Beaumont to be 580.
Not sure what the capacity is right this second. Have to head out for a little while. Check out www.bop.gov (http://www.bop.gov)
Thanks Fed-X..
He looked at Bastrop but is worried about the availability of RDAP, college courses and of course....He Has To Have Access To A Guitar!!! I think his greatest worry is that Beaumont is much closer to Houston and I'll get a chance to see him much more often without having to stay overnight.... He keeps worrying about me first (go figure...what a husband!). He wouldn't be moving there until January or so, they should have their current water woes figured out by then.
I'll check and see what Lamar has to offer. Right now, he's about to take his mid-term in economics and accounting. By the time he gets anywhere, it'll be time to register for two more courses, in business management.
