My boyfriend was at Calico Rock till he was transferred 3 weeks ago. He is now fulfilling a requirement for his Aug. 3rd parole at a drug and alcohol program facility located in Wrightsville......Prettypurring

My husband used to be at Calico Rock now he is in Benton Work Release. He goes before the board in August but probably wont go home until Dec. What do you know about that new bill that was passed for emergency release of nonviolent offenders w/ less than a year left?

My boyfriend is in Cummins Unit and he goes up for parole in August also.

My kid's father escapped from Randolph County Jail, in Pocahontas, is defenetly headed to a State Prison, don't know when he will get there! At the current time, he is in Osceola County Jail here in Florida, where he ran to to try to see his kids. But did not suceed.

my man is locked up in Cummins and has been for about a year on a 12 yr. sentence. We are getting married in a few months and we have been together off and on since 2000. My honey is very well known and NOBODY messes with him!! Back in the day he used to run things on the street but look where that notorious position got him...nowhere!! Hopefully this will be the wakeup call he needs.....

My fiance is in Southwest Arkansas Community Correction in Texarkana. His jacket goes up before the board August 13th. He will be home December 9th! I can't wait!! Anyone else's sweetie in a community correction facility? Let me know!

My husband is at Delta Regional Unit in Southern Arkansas. He will be there for a few more months.

90 days until my man comes home YEAH!!!!! It's been too long without him. And the kids are missing him just as much as I am. I just pray he can make the board with no denials. I'm sure he will considering no violents offences and they are soooo crowded.

My son is currently in Varner Super Max (18 month "special" program). He's done 6 years, not all in Varner Max, of the 11 years he must serve of the 70% law, enacted 1 year prior to his sentence. He was charged with 2 counts aggravated robbery. It was dope money and at the time he thought "big deal". He knows now what he did was wrong and is paying a debt to society. He is a changed young man, now 27 years old.

I watched and read some of the laws that were to be looked at during the Legislative Session pertaining to the 70% law for cyrstal meth convictions, by Mr. Ledbetter. Nothing for sure yet as far as I know. Ledbetter wanted to have them look had other charges too, like 1st time felons only doing 1/3 of the 70%. I emailed my Representative and Senator how I felt of Ledbetter's bills, what bravado he has to put those forth. And God only knows the State of Arkansas is broke because of it. I hear we may be finding the money for Drug Courts which we do not have yet. Hopefully it will come from letting some prisoners out that deserve it!

Right now my husband is in Diagnostics...they say he will either to to Cummins or Tucker(?) in about 2 weeks. He's still not sure were he's goin. But when he was sentenced the Judge recomended Boot*Camp but the only catch is he's a re*peat offender :(

My fiance is currently in a USP in Kansas. We are trying to find a medium security prison with drug and educational programs in Arkansas. (preferably Texarkana) Does anyone have any suggestions of any good and decent federal medium security prisons? My husband just got sent to Varner unit. he is hopefully going to get transfered to Calico Rock which is closer to us so We can see him more often. He doesn't come up for parole till 2007. Any advice on how to deal with this temparary seperation would be wonderful. His name is Tim May.

sgp--I believe the only federal prison in Arkansas is the one at Forrest City, but I'm not totally sure.

Hi everyone,my brother is a first timer at ADC, Brickeys..he is in for aggravated robbery, he got 15 years with 5 suspended..I am wanting to know if anyone else has family inside on similar charges and how long of the 10 years will they have to serve ? I have heard so many things I really don't know what right..we went to visit him for the first time on December 6th,nothing like I expected it to be,we actually has a very nice visit,everyone was nice to us,we stayed 4 hours and sat in a big room with other inmates and families..Does anyone have fmaily at Brickeys ? we visit the 1st and 3rd Saturdays..looking forward to sharing information, thanks so much.....his_lil_sis:)

After 8 long lonely months my husband is finally on work release @ Benton :)

my kyle was in cummins for a little while and after taking him to and from there and faulkner county jail they put him in wrightsville. he leaves there and goes to the boot camp. then he comes home in 4 months. he was sentenced five years but he is coming home very early. i can't wait to see him.

I am new! My fiancee is in Diagnostics right now. He is suppose to be headed out to Cummins. We are having a really hard time dealing with this. He is a brittle diabetic and so far it has been a nightmare. If anyone has any info about diagnostics and visitation please let me know. Or info on how to deal with all of this!

My husband is either going to be sent to pine bluff or oceola prison for manufacturing meth while on probation for the same thing. Im done with him for a husband, filed for a divorce but i still want to try to be his "friend" for support. We have 2 boys, ages 19 and 16. We have been married for almost 20 yrs. How do I cope? I have been left with all the bills, and responsibilities. I feel like im going to "loose it" sometimes. I work as an LPN at a local mental and acute drug facility and see what happens to families every day. It kills me to see that this is happening to me. Any suggestions??????

Yes, My husband has had "several" labs in the last few years. I have been married to him for almost 20 yrs. He is the best husband you could ever have except for his addiction. He has lied and every thing you could imagine for the last couple of years. we have 2 boys ages 19 and 16. It's hard to believe he has done this to us again. Me and our oldest son even had him busted last year just to try to help him and save his life. This time, he was working at a good job, attending N/A meetings and then, he lied about getting fired, he was fired about 2 weeks before I found out. He lied to me about everything, acted like he was going to work and then, he got busted just down from our house. It was terrible. My youngest son was comming home from riding around up town with a friend and the cops would not let them through until the car , my car, was searched and they were both patted down. He, my youngest son, was humiliated. Well, needlest to say, he (my husband) was on probation at the time and now he is in jail with a $100,000 bond. Even his dad cant bail him out , like last time. In the past, we found components of meth labs in the attice, shed, under the house and under the front porch. The smarter we got, the smarter he got. I will go through my divorce this time, stronger than ever. If any one needs to ever talk, just pm me or email me. I would love to share stories, this is only a "touch" of what me and the boys have been through.......

hayes2001wr - I totally understand where you are coming from. My fiancee is in Cummins for Meth also. I have been with him off and on for 5 years. I have seen the ups and the downs. He finally got clean for the last year and a half before they finally sent him to prison. They waited 2 years before they finally charged him. He is a brittle diabetic and it has been a nightmare. I love him and am standing by him but, I don't believe I would be strong enough if he did this to me again. You hang in there and hopefully get comfort in knowing that you aren't alone. Terry has a 18 yr. old, a 16 yr. old and a 7 yr. old. "meth" is a tough battle to fight. If you need to talk at anytime feel free to PM me anytime. My husband is at the Diagonistic (sp?) Unit in Pine Bluff. We have been married only a 11 months but we have been together for 4 years. We met while he was in prison. We were fortunate enough to be able to get married while he was on a 309. The clemency board just got his app for clemency Tuesday. We have a letter of support from the victim, the sherrif and the pros. attorney!

I guess I need to give a little info about my husband. He was sentenced to 15 years for agg rob. He has been in for 7 years. He was 17 when he commited his crime and in the USMC. He had no priors. He had a buddy with him that only got 30 months. My husband got 15 YEARS!!!:mad:

My x husband just got sentenced, He got 18mo for revocation of probation and 18mo for possession with intent to manufacture. These are to served concurrently. They said he might only have to serve 9mo of it all together. They will be sending him to Oseola, Arkansas to the Regional Correctional Facility when a bed becomes available. If anyone has any information about this facility, please let me know. I cant find any information about it.

The first year has came and past for him pretty quickly as he keeps busy taking any and all classes he can. I think what you are talking about is the enhanced sentence for habitual offenders. Has he been convicted of atleast 2 other felonies? If so, that could apply. Did his crime fall into the 70% rule? ie. murder, rape, manufacturing, etc.

My husband is in Tucker. He just got sent there Tuesday I believe. He violated his parole and got some new charges, but he hasn't went up on those new charges yet. He was supposed to go to court on his new charges Dec 6th, but they came and took him to Diagnostics on Nov 24. They did not go back and get him to take him to his court date. It's kind of a messed up situation. I need to call his lawyer and find out exactly what is going on, but I haven't had time yet.

I meet him when he was singing for the prison band. I knew the officers with him. 1 day through arkansas and now a inmate. we have been married for 8 yrs. We got married on a furlough. He is now on the out count at aleta in camden. he has served 12 yrs of 15 we go up again for clemesey in June of this yr.

My guy is in Benton Work Release. He was transferred there from Tucker Unit a couple weeks ago. Had my first visitation at Benton last Sunday.

Hey! My husband is in Tucker RSVP, only been there for about a month! He isnt too crazy about the unit but he is doing what he has to do to get home! Visitation sux! We had a guard yell at us on my first visit to that unit because we were leaned over close to each other! (We were TaLKING) It was uncalled for!

My husband was at Varner until he transferred to Mississippi County Work Release. He had applied and was denied. I figured it wouldn't hurt to write a letter to the Warden on his behalf, and it actually worked!! He gave my husband a second chance, and now we travel 2 hrs. on Saturdays instead of 6 hrs. (one way) to visit him from where we are in Kentucky! I was inspired by the postings on this website, so THANK YOU LADIES!!!!

I noticed that many of you said you have husband or loved one Brickeys (EARU). Could you please let expand on that and let me know your/ their experience there? Treatment, conditions, etc.? My man is also at brickeys. He has been there for 3 years and has 2 years left....till Jan 5 2009. Yes it's a long hard road but only the best can wait. I have been faithful for the whole time and yes I have to admit sometimes it can be hard but you have to think of the future and not the present time. Anyone have any questions can im me.

Ive been trying to get any info i can on brickeys just to see how bad it is and the programs they offer. but if you ever need to talk or anything im here. Hello everyone! I have been on here for a little while, but have not introduced my self. My fiancee is in Osceola RPF. He has been in there a little over a week. He spent a month in Greene County Jail waiting to be transfered. He seems to be in a much better mood now that he has been transfered. I try to talk to him everyday, but the person's phone I use is wanting him to start calling only every other day. I miss him so much. I can't wait till I can go visit him again. I love him so much, and hate that his has to go through this. He is in there on a revocation of felony probabtion. I can not wait to have him back home with me again. I am trying to do everything I can to help him keep his spirits up. Thanks everyone for the advice I have been givin'. You all are great. Thanks again, JB's old lady!

Just wanted to shout from the mountain tops, . . .my son made it to the Tucker Unit. He was accepted into the Faith based initiative program. They have a new Computer Lab that is part of the program. He will also be learning welding in the afternoons and getting Vo-Tech credits and certifcates.

It was a long wait at Brickeys (11 months) getting into general population, . . .two weeks in and he gets interviewed for the program at Tucker! Thanks God, and the powers that be. :thumbsup:

This will be a program he'll be able to be in until his PE/TE date. :D

My baby is at Grimes in Newport..He has been there 30 days and as soon as he does his 60 days then he is going to request to get transferred to benton work release.

I have one daughter at Wrightsville, who hopefully will be included in the Nov. EPA, her parole date is Feb. 08. Her sister is at McPherson serving a 30 year sentence. Any one who knows what the EPA (early release) is, and wouldnt mind explaining to me, I have no idea what it even is, other that she could possibly get out early due to overcrowding.

My HUSBAND is at Calico Rock. I was there with him until I was released in June. I was incarcerated 3 years and while I was in there, I did a thorough study on the system. Yall it is not easy being locked up and it's even harder when you are a homosexual.

:slap:My son has been in VARNER Supermax AD SEG for over 3 years & incarcerated since 2001. He will only be 27 in August . His PE is 5-2009 and I am concerned how he will deal with the outside world after years in AD SEG. Please help me help him.

I don't know which is actually safer but there are a lot of them at Cummins and Varner so maybe safety in numbers?? Needs to keep his head down and his mouth shut wherever he is. Invisible is the best way to do time in AR.

My son was in the max for 4 years I believe. He knew his mouth got him in trouble. So he would have to start the 18 month program all over again, . . .eventually he saw some good ole' cellies getting out and knew he had to.

He did his exercises with any weights he could make, . . .did his aerobics by running in a circle, . . .he had certain days to do certain exercises, . . .you know a rountine he stuck by. Oh, . . .even ate the Kosher diet, . . .better for your heart.

Read every thing he could get his hands on, he could be a history teacher, wrote poetry, joined this poetry club for prisoners worldwide.

He was grateful after being in the worst and noisiest part of the max, when he got moved to another area that was quietier, . . .could hear the birds chirping outside his window.

It was hard though not getting to be outside, every, in the fresh air, . . .frackin' torture!

At times I wanted him to stay there, . . .more chance of survival, I think??

You know, . . .they get enough time, . . .and see that the path they were on, on the outside was the wrong path.

He knows he'll be a little weird (when he comes home) after doing so much time, . . .but he is doing O.K. in population now. Somehow he keeps his mind strong, . . .but he's had his moments wondering if he can keep his sanity.

my husband has not actually made it to prison yet. he is in the faulkner co jail (unit 1) awaiting trial. Faulkner co sucks. im sure most other places suck, too, but you know. he has met a few really cool people in there, but of course the guards are a pain. hes been in there for 7 months now. he is in solitary right now and has another week. hes already been in there for 1 week. the guards found an extra food tray in their cell. the guy that took it got 3 days. go figure. :blah:
anyway, im new here, and neither of us have ever had to deal with the legal system before. were trying to learn

I talked to him today and he made the comment about paroling out to me. I know basically what it is but I dont know what it intells.. What is involved & expected. Theres certain things I may or may not be able to do. And I wanted to know what is expected of me if I accept it. I figure he has about a year or so to do. His original sentence was 36 months in which he did 14 months previously so I know he'll probably go back for the remainder plus what ever he gets for the new charges. I guess all of us have our luck in one way or another. I'm fortunate that we're less than 2 months from being together, but unfortunate because I won't see him until October 12th for a visit. You're fortunate that you get to visit, but won't have him home with you for a long time. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way. But I do understand how you feel. I didn't get to see him for the first 55 days he was gone. I saw him January 13 and didn't get to see him till March 7. That was the hardest part of it. True, there are others on here who are waiting much longer than we are for our loved ones to be placed back in our arms. By the time I'm able to see my fiance again, it will be over 2 months. The last time I was able to kiss his face and hug him was August 9th. I won't know what that's like again until October 24th. While I'm allowed to visit him on the 12th of October, the visiting rules say only a brief hug at the beginning and a brief hug at the end. Other than that, I won't know what it's like to feel his arms around me until the 24th. He's almost 400 miles from where I live, and there's a chance that the weekend of the 19th is off because I'll have my little boy that weekend. We were already scrubbed for a visit on October 5th because it's just 1 day shy of the last 2 weeks that he'll be there. He arrived on a Monday. The 5th is a Sunday, so we were scrubbed for a visit by one day. Sometimes the system can be so cruel when it comes to family on the "outside." We're serving their time as well by being kept away from them and then given rules when we are finally allowed to be with them. I can understand the rules in some ways because it is easy for some people to take a visit to the extreme (like hiding behind a vending machine and getting it on), but there are others who are just longing to feel what it's like to be hugged or held once again after being away from them for so long. The PDA's that are more suitable for a motel room should be refrained from, especially in the presence of young children, but at the same time, when can a motel room be reserved? I know rules are there to be followed, and there are consequences for breaking them, but I have no intention of breaking them. I just want to see him again. That's all. It's been so long already.

i have no clue how long he will be incarcerated . . . and that is the hardest part. he was sentenced to three years on a probation revocation for domestic battering 3rd degree, a charge he caught in the summer of 2006. he was sentenced on july 14 and was moved to diagnostics on august 21. from there, he was sent to randall williams correctional facility in pine bluff on september 5. as of now, his jacket will be pulled on november 24. from there, it will be decided if he will be granted a parole hearing at a later time. adc's website says his pe/te date is 2-4-09, but who freaking knows. i talked to adc today and they said that was just the date that he is first eligible to come home and that he may or may not be granted parole. right now, i am scrambling to round up recomendation letters on his behalf to be put in his file so they will be ready for his pre-hearing on the 24th. why does all this crap have to be so confusing???? any advice on what i can do to help? also, is anyone else familiar with randall williams CF? it used to be called jefferson county jail/correctional facility, but was recently renamed and i can't seem to find anyone who is familiar with it.

I'm not familiar with it, I'm sorry to say. I'm not real familiar with the ADC or DCC at all. I think they make it confusing so that we have to rack our brains and SHOW that we truly feel our loved one can change or has changed. Either way, it hurts us because we're out here on the other side of the fence, but we're on the inside with them as well.
I'm sure someone will come along who can answer your questions about the facility your husband is in. The most I'm able to do is lend a listening ear <eyes?> for others. If not for my stumbling across this site, I'd be a mental case by now. there are ALOT of supportive people here.
