Hey all.... My man was just transfered to Deep Meadows. I have a few questions about visitations. How long do the visits actually last? Is any time of the day better to visit than others? Before, I know that they allowed you to take change in the visiting room, is that still allowed and how much is allowed? Are you allowed to wear blue jeans? How long do they usually stay in Deep Meadows before being transfered? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A few years ago (1997 or so) I would visit someone there. The visitations lasted at least 2 hours. I would get there as early in the AM as I could and it always worked out well with fewer visitors and no lines in which to wait. You can take change in with you, and they also have (had?) a coin machine. I cannot remember if there was a limit on the amount of money you could bring in there, but I believe there was no limit. We were definitely allowed to wear blue jeans. Inmates generally state at Deep Meadows until their classification is complete. In most cases, that would be about 2-3 months tops.

hey my jbyrd has been there since march and yes you can bring as much change quarters as you want yess you can wear blue jeans visits are an hour but if you get there at the start of visitation you may get a little extra time the worst time of day to visit is after 12 noon the best time to get there is between 8-10 they told me that he will be there for 90 days b4 being sent to his final destination
