hello! My name's Nichol. My uncle is awaiting his sentencing in the county jail. He is looking at 12-25 federal. I really wish they would just hurry and tell him already so he could start the real time and get it over with!

Hi All,
My Uncle is currently serving a 34 year sentence in Norton Correctional Facility. Unfortunately not to many in the family are able to visit as it's too far away from where we live. We keep sending tons of letters though to keep his spirits up. Not too easy when you're facing so many years behind bars, but so far he's doing good. Norton doesn't seem to be one prision that wants prisioners getting visits. My Uncle's Son and his wife takes My Uncle's son who's only 4 years old up to visit him every other weekend, so that helps a ton. Just wish justice would actually be justice instead of a big freaken joke. He's in for more time than murderers. I HATE this countries Justice system.

What you are doing by sending him letters is letting him know that someone on the outside cares for him and being a former inmate that meant the world to me just knowing that someone took the time out fo their day to write me a letter. Prison is a very lonley place and having a lot of time really takes a toll on the mind. I was sentenced to 12 years for a robbery where nobody was hurt physically and there were other men in prison for 4 years for vehicular homocide I agree the justice system is not fair. I would like to thank you for sending your loved one letters because I know it means the world to him.

a cop killed his wife and is now out on bail, i bet if it was just any other person they wouldnt have been offered bail. so many people i know were denied bail for little things.money, prestige and having connections in the legal system is what one needs in order for "justice" to take place..

Hi there,
My uncle was sentenced to 6 years in november for a drug offence and is currently in Matsqui Insitution.Tho i send and recive letters from him and also go for visits it is so hard to cope with.I have actually had to resort to a perscription of antidepressants to help...but its just not working.I guess i always knew it would happen but it never sunk in until i saw him get cuffed and halled off on sentencing.... Any suggestions to help me with this?? :(

Thanks Almosthome2007,
I definately feel that the letters are helping tremendously, and I would not stop sending letters. My Uncle's second appeal is April 11th, 2007. I just hope all goes well, They got it moved to a different county so that helps too. I"m not getting my hopes up, just wishing him the best.
Thanks,
Cindie

My brother-in-law has been in prison for 13 years. He stole a car...that was it. Never raped, murdered, or hurt another human being in his life. I just want you all to know that the reason he has been in there for so long is because he messed up in prison. Please encourage your loved one in prison to keep their heads on their shoulders, otherwise they will get double time and keep doing time until parole decides they want to let you go. Its going on 13 years since my brother-in-law has seen the actual world. Please don't let that happen to your loved one. Thank you
