Hi. My boyfriend is incarecerated and I haven't been able to see him until now. I am not sure how to get to the Prison. Is there more than one in Susanville? And are there any cheap hotels around? I will be driving up 10/7. The po box there is 2400 if that is any help. Thanks!

IT'S PROBABLY CHEAPER IF YOU FLY, CAUSE GAS IS SO EXPENSIVE NOW.
THERE ARE 2 PRISONS IN SUSANVILLE, ONE IS HIGH DESERT AND THE OTHER CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONAL CENTER. MY HUSBAND IS IN CCC AND THE P.O. BOX IS 2400, SO MAYBE YOURS IS TOO. THERE ARE ALSO A COUPLE OF HOTELS NEAR BY, NOT TO CHEAP BUT DECENT. ONE IS THE HOTEL 8 AND THE OTHER IS COUNTRY SIDE INN, I BELIEVE. COUNTRY SIDE INN IS ON RIVERSIDE DR. AND IS ABOUT 25 MIN AWAY FROM CCC. IF YOU FLY YOU WILL FLY INTO RENO AND DRIVE ABOUT 1 HOUR AND 30MIN TO SUSANVILLE.

Thank you for your help. I am not too far away so luckily I won't have to fly. :) You are right, it is CCC. He had been moved and I wasn't quite sure. So again Thank you and I will let you know how the visit goes. It is the first time to see each other with this pregnancy. :)

I liked the Americas Best motel on the main drag. When they got to know me and knew I'd be coming frequently, they gave me a discount.
As you drive out Johnsonville Road, watch for the water tanks up on the hill. They are on the ridge over High Desert. Once you pass that, CCC is on your left. Check in at the trailer, they'll give you a number and send you over to the office.
