News articles are a great way to keep up with issues pertaining to incarceration in Kansas and that's what this forum is for. Any news or current event that pertains to Kansas should be posted here, but we've got to really work hard on sticking to the copyright laws.

To be in compliance with any and all copyright laws, we need to follow the guidelines below:

Thread Title: Should be the name of the article or as close to it as the thread title space allows.

Article Posting: You can only post the introductory paragraph, and then you'll need to include a link to the online source where the full article can be read including the source name so members know where they are being directed. Generally most articles have a few summary lines at the beginning, that's the part that should be posted.

If you would like to sum up in your own words what the rest of the article is about that would be helpful too.

Please don't post links to sites that will expire within a couple days (if you know that ahead of time) and also no links to sites that are subscription based only.

News Article Discussion: If you've read an article somewhere else and would like to discuss it without posting the article, that's good too. You can post summaries in your own words of what you've read. They would be like your own editorials. Please keep in mind though that all PTO policies apply

Most if not all of the articles previously posted in this forum are not the correct format and would be too hard at this point to fix. So we'll start fresh from this date and thank you to everyone for understanding :)
