Hey everyone,
I'm new here and am need of some info from anyone who can help.
Have a friend at PVSP who I haven't heard from since early August and have sent numerous letters to him since the end of July...Getting a little concerned because usually I hear from him...Know mail is slow, but it has been unusually long now...I believe he is in D yard looking at his address.
I just miss him and am feeling a little blue now without any word from him at all. Last I wrote he mentioned he was out of paper, but I sent him some so he should have received it - sent it out around the second week of August.

Maybe he's out of stamped envelopes too? Maybe you should send him some... Of course, if he's been moved to the hole or another yard, mail will take a LOT longer...

RE PVSP.....my son was there for almost 2 yrs and has been moved recently but his experience was good, well, as good as can be expected. He said if you respect "them", the CO's, they will respect you. He was able to get some schooling, work, keep busy and he was okay there. Well, he was moved to Salinas Valley and hates it. He said they treat you terrible there. Now he hasn't been there long so maybe it will change. He is a level three and is in a cell but says he would not want to be in a dorm. Pleasant Valley hardly ever put guys on lockdown except one yard that was constantly fighting and that is to be expected, I guess. I just wish SVSP could have been a step up instead of a step down.
