Again, I realize I'm posting on a really old post here...but I'd love to see the AK forum used more...all I can do is try!

I'm pretty sure the whole state uses Evercom but I'm not sure what the deal is with inmates who get sent to Red Rock in AZ. Haven't had to deal with collect calls yet myself, but I understand it's something like $4/minute within the state (which is outrageous). Evercom's toll free is 888-678-5668, as listed on SOA DOC website.

Thanks 907girl!! I was just coming here to get an update on this thread as I am trying to update the info MrsBenji posted a couple of years ago. I know you said you haven't had any calls as of your post in July, but I'm hoping maybe now you can answer some questions for me, if you don't mind.

-Verify the service provider is Evercom/Correctional Billing
-Do you have to be approved/on a "pre-existing" list to receieve calls?
-Can your loved one pay for calls themselves?
-Are YOU required to prepay for the calls?
-Are you allowed to you use call forwarding? three way calling? other call-features? (not just do you use them)
-Are you permitted to receive calls on cell phones?
-Will your loved ones have to schedule their calls or are they limited on how many calls they can make?

Any of these questions you can answer will be appreciated!
