Hi...my Son was recently transferred to Talladega Prison camp from Nellis Prison camp. He had to spend a horrible month in Oklahoma transfer center and about a week in an Atlanta penitentiary. If anyone has info on Talladega I would certainly appreciate any it. He has been in for 7 months now waiting for a DAP and its so frustrating. Anyone else in that situation? Thank you and I wish you all strength.:)

welcome to pto...the prisons you speak of may be federal or youth facilities, they don't ring any bells with me and here i thought i knew of all alabama state prisons, if he is indeed in the federal system..we have a wonder federal forum that would give you more needed answers and support than here in the alabama forum....

but like i said welcome to pto, its a great place with 100's of moms, sisters, brothers etc that are deal with the same issues as you and your family....

You may also find quite a bit of information (probably better than in here since this is more state-related) and support in the Federal forum on PTO as well. I had a friend who was in the work release camp in talladega. He said it was alot better than the prison there. Can't tell you much more than that. Hope he does well. Becky

Hello everyone. I am new and I have a son at mci concord. Sick over this. He has a fifteen year old son that lives with me and it is so hard to know his dad will be gone for the next six years. I will do my best and do what is right for him.

I live just 30 miles from Talladega and have seen the prison, it's a Federal Prison I believe. I haven't heard anything bad about the prison if that helps you and I've seen it from the road, it looks quite peaceful and nice as prisons go.
