My hubby made trustee!!!! He called me this morning from the jail phone to tell me that he was needing a few things. He wants his ball cap....he wears one all the time! :p He wanted for me to bring a carton of cigarettes and a money order for $50. We got to talk for about 5 minutes!! I was so excited!!!!!!!:D He said that he knows where he may eventually end up.....he thinks Tucker. I am just so excited that I got to talk to him. I will have a visit with him on Saturday morning!

Yay, good for you guys! :) My fiance is a 309 at a county jail and although the trustees don't have it quite like the 309's, I know they have a lot more privileges than the other jail inmates.

When Jamie was a trustee at Chester they got to do all kinds of things. They worked on the maintenance of the building and really never stayed in the dorms. He would call me from the pay phone on a calling card. It was really great.

Yes, Jamiesheart & Hunts-girl, I am very happy that he is a trustee now. I took his ball cap over to him.......he is "thinning" on top and doesn't like to be without his "security blanket".:D He gets to use the phone, but he didn't get commissary last Friday, so he has to wait until the Friday to get a phone card. It just was so surprising to hear his voice!!!! I didn't expect him to call me. It was during my prep period, so I could talk to him without my students being all nosy and everything. My best friend who teaches across the hall from me had to come over to tell him that she loved him and was praying for us. I think she was almost as excited as I was!:p I was grinning from ear to ear!:D
