I have only sent books to New Folsom and to Men's Central Jail here in LA. Anyway, I know they have to be sent directly from the publisher ( I went online, threw Barnes and Noble) and have to be soft cover only. I have no idea if there is a limit on the amount of books you can send. It's still aways best to call the prison and bug the COs in the mail room :) Also, just like the mail :( it will atleast ( if your lucky) take 3 weeks for the book to arrive in the hands of the person you are sending it to.

I am pretty sure it has to be an approved vendor that ships the book. I know its true with sending tapes and cds. Not that I send any to mr man thats his mommys job. LOL Yeah definatley call the prison first before you order anything.

I send my son Books all the time from Barnes and Nobles via Internet account. Make sure they are soft and not hard.

I also have bought books and mailed them making it look like it came from Barnes and Nobles by taping their Business Card where you put your return address. DO NOT PUT YOUR ADDRESS ON IT AT ALL or it will not get to them. DO NOT USE BUBBLE ENVELOPES too!

The Safest is the Internet ordering from Barnes and Nobles. They will not ship it for you from the Store!

Hope this helps!

Love
